An open thread without BDS Nazis is like...

Actually, I have no idea what it's like.

{It's like this, I suppose.}

Eseentially saying it's those bad Israeli Likudniks pushing for war with Iran. Damn evil Jews.

How much of this constant CT libel must we endure and how many idiot Kossacks must we endure rec'ing it time and time again?

Maybe people should just leave the left because it's teh stoopid.

  2. Might I also propose that any left wing or progressive or democratic criticism of Israel that is received fondly by such places as Stormfront and such people as David Duke ought to give the latter three groupings pause. If you aren't part of the solution (and I don't mean the final solution) you are part of the problem.

As I said in my last comment to you, I think you are smarter than this. Please take a step back.

Now I love fizicks but sometimes he is just way TOO GENEROUS. Smarter than this? Nah, I'm not buying it.

  4. Well, you know as well as I do that there is a very special magical place where the anti-Semitic left meets the anti-Semitic right... and then they do the hokey-pokey and turn themselves around and that's what it's all about!

    :O)

  5. You know I'm getting really tired of Kossack diaries and posts elsewhere which try and put an attack on Iran on Israel. Do these morons not think the US is grownup enough to make up its own minds about things they want to do? Otherwise they must be stating that old antisemitic canard about Israel wagging the dog; Jews having all the power etc. Kossacks, self described Democrats...please....leave the insane crap to David Duke and his lot. You are stinking up the place.

  6. Does it really matter, most of what is said there?

Lefty's main issue is that he has become a caricature. He's not alone playing the role, treating theory as if it were reality.

As bad, they go nuts over Israel, indiscriminately and disproportionately. They stand shoulder to shoulder with Israel's adversaries, and silently by at the massive mistreatment by adversary regimes of their own populations, millions of human beings, especially women and children.

And to think they lecture us.

I think the effective way is to convince Democrats that they should not listen to these people who contradict liberal principles for ideological gain, and who enable regimes that hate not only Israel, but our country and the liberal ideals it stands for in a largely dark world where, based on practice, those ideals do not matter, to the sadness of us all.

I enjoy the theater of DKos, but know it and the actors are insignificant and self-important. Far reaching discussions occur elsewhere.

The battleground on campus is where I think there can be a greater emphasis to help make change in the dynamics.

  7. While I agree with almost all you say oldschool my position concerning dKos is that it is an antisemitic, hatemongering swamp like almost all "progressive," sites and it and they should not be. Therefore anything I can do expose the place and the poseurs there is time well spent IMHO. In these days of the internet where ideas are accessible quickly, vigilance and response are real concerns I think so that the haters do not recruit more into their fold. After all, not all Kossacks or lurkers are necessarily deep thinkers to begin with.

OTOH perhaps I have delusions of grandeur in hoping to destroy these modern towers of Babel. ;)

  8. "France last month joined an appeal from the Mideast diplomatic “quartet” — the United States, European Union, Russia and United Nations — for Israel and the Palestinians to return unconditionally to negotiations. Netanyahu accepted. Abbas said no. Abbas, it’s fair to say, has gone from resisting U.S. and French diplomacy to actively seeking to undermine it. Yet it is Netanyahu whom Sarkozy finds “unbearable,” and whom Obama groans at having to “deal with every day.” If there is an explanation for this, it must be personal; in substance, it makes little sense."

The answer? Because it is fashionable/chic to love the Palestinian bunnies and detest the war-like Jews. In the meantime, America is engaged in THREE wars and France is threatening Iran after having been involved in 2 wars. Pot meet kettle.
