What Goes Around Comes Around

The Palestinians acted unilaterally despite being warned. Now they are learning (for perhaps the first time really) that actions have consequences. They have cost UNESCO funding. They have forced the USA into a veto position when the vote for admission comes up. Now, they will be experiencing local consequences:

In a series of retaliatory moves against the Palestinian Authority, Israel on Tuesday night decided to accelerate Jewish construction over the pre-1967 lines and temporarily suspend the transfer of tax funds to the PA...

You can not demand from the Israeli public continued restraint when the Palestinian leadership continues to slam doors in their face," said an Israeli official.

They refuse to condemn the rocket attacks that killed an Israeli citizen [on Saturday]. They praised the kidnapping of Gilad Schalit and have refused to conduct peace negotiations while going for unilateral moves at the United Nations,” the official said...

Separate from the issue of construction, the Septet agreed to put a "temporary hold" on the transfer of tax funds to the Palestinian Authority. It also weighted canceling VIP passes for Palestinian officials which allow them to pass quickly through Israeli checkpoints in the West Bank.

Heads will explode over this. None of those heads however exploded when the recent rocket attacks began anew nor when a thousand terrorists were released. So go ahead you hypocrites. Cry and whine all you want. Actions have consequences. Deal with it.

  2. Report: PA fails to meet UNESCO's education standards
UN's cultural agency grants Palestinian membership bid despite Ramallah's failure to meet minimum educational requirement

Exception to the rule? UNESCO decided to grant the Palestinian Authority full membership despite the fact that it does not meet the basic educational requirements outlined in the organization's codex, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.

IMPACT-SE also found that many of the Palestinian schoolbooks glorify jihad ("holy war"), death and acts of violence, predominantly against Jews.

"Presenting Israel as the 'ultimate evil,' preaching violence and war and omitting any reference to peaceful collaborations does not coincide with UNESCO's principles," Dr. Eldad Pardo of the Hebrew University, who heads IMPACT-SE, said."

But they gave it to them ANYWAY. Either they agree with Palestinian hatred of Jews or they didn't do the required research beforehand. Either way they are losers on this issue.
