This Is What Progressives Do Not Want You To See

Karam

Friday Sermon in Al-Bireh, West Bank

Palestinian Authority TV, January 6, 2012:

Oh, servants of Allah, every evil and catastrophe on the land of Palestine - moreover, in the whole world - is caused by the Jews.

They generate civil strife with their clandestine handiwork, their despicable texts, their bitter hearts, and their abominable intentions.

Allah said: "Whenever they kindle the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it, but they strive to do mischief on the earth, Allah loves not those who do mischief."

This is the history of the Jews.

Many a covenant have they violated. Many a prophet have they slayed.

Rabbis do not stand up before Jewish congregations and say anything like this about any other people on earth, yet this kind of violently anti-Semitic incitement is rife in the Muslim world.

Moreover, if I dare to point this out, progressives will call me a racist.

How's that for chutzpah?

It is the contention of this blog that the progressive-left has betrayed the Jewish people.

When the left refuses to face the screeching hate that comes from the Arab world and insists that anyone who does so is a "racist" or a "warmonger" then you just know that they have capitulated to the Radical Jihad.

When the president of the United States compares the Islamist Winter to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s, then you know that the progressive movement is laboring under the most hobbling of delusions.

  1. It surely is puzzling that so many progressives love to dismiss MEMRI and PMW more than PA or Hamas or other state television, irrespective of what is actually said.

There seems no greater fear for these folks than being labeled a bigot, even if the allegation is slanderous and for the sole purpose of censorship.

  2. Yup.

How can any political movement be respected if it continues to ignore that which is both relevant and obvious?

I guess it says something about the power of ideology and group-think.
