Pat Condell's take on Islam

geoffff

This is Pat Condell's latest video. It's a week old which makes it geriatric and I like that.

I watched it within minutes of it arriving in my inbox and very nearly put it up right away as I usually do with Condell's stuff.

Something stayed my trembling mouse finger.. Watch the video and guess.

A week ago was the height of the Islamic global moron riot and world dummy spit competition.  Pat's video was  in the heat of the moment so I gave it a week to cool down to see what it looks like well .. now really..

Condell's perspective is global as it should be and as an atheist  he has no time for religion of any kind. Any secularist should feel the same when it comes to the affairs of state. Your God might speak to you but not to me, Simple really, There is no other way religion can be free,

He has disappeared the distinction between Islam and Political Islam  and now that Political Islam has spread so far and fast since the Islamic Revolution in 1979 that brought this horror to power in Iran (so firmly and up front on the watch of Jimmy [no American soldier has died in a foreign war on my watch] Carter) how can you not?

Think how quick that was. 1979 Iran.

Now Political Islam is dominant or insurgent from Tunisia to Pakistan. Turkey. Egypt  Libya. Lebanon, Sudan and across Africa. Yemen.

Just look at those dingos  right now gathered and jumping for poor bloody Syria to drop like a wounded exhausted possum from a tree and by Syria I mean the long suffering Syrian people.

They are all there waiting and doing their best to keep the fires burning.   AQ.   MB of course. You can be certain Iran and Hezbollah. They have cooked Assad's goose among them as you would expect them to and all that remains is the carve up.

But I digress.

Condell ignores  the vast number of Muslims who just want to practice their religion in peace and do so.. He also ignores those who would love to do so if they had the opportunity
.
Unfortunately they are all in Muslim countries.

There is an opportunity for free Muslims to turn this around.

  1. A big part of the problem that we have is that the west, as led by Barack Obama, doesn't seem to mind the rise of radical Islam.

Obama has even encouraged it and why should he not when there is virtually no blow back? Even many Jews do not much mind the rise of a genocidally anti-Semitic movement in the Middle East.

The Brotherhood is the largest anti-Semitic organization in the world today.

Barack Obama supports the Brotherhood and Jews support Barack Obama.

    Something doesn't compute.

And this, btw Stuart, is why many of us talk about such things as Jewish dhimmitude or Jewish Stockholm Syndrome. It is simply unfathomable that Jewish people would support a president that supports the rise of radical Islam.

    Yet they do.

But thanks to 'Taqiyya' we have done such a wonderful job that the western idiots who mostly hate their own religions of birth are now in love with Islam and Mohammad. Here is a demonstration tape in which our top religious authority Dr Mahirul Qadri lying through his teeth to the kuffar of Denmark in English. Later see what he says about the same things in urdu to momins of Pakistan. Jazakallah Khair. May Allah give him extra credits towards houries with swelling breasts."

I'm not with you on this in any way.

Islam is not a religion. It's a political, racist, misogynist ideology masquerading as a religion. Anyone who is an adherent to Islam believes everything penned in the Qur'an by the murdering paedophile Mohammed.

The video that as caused such a stir, is a copy of the Qur'an except for one small scene. So why the fuss over the truth?

I don't know how many Muslims you have up there in your neck of the woods Geoff, but let me tell you something - and yes I am a troublemaker, I love telling Muslims I am Jewish I love the change of expression on their faces.

I have two stories I could tell you. One in particular about a woman I have known for over 30 years, a Muslim, who until recently didn't know I was Jewish. When it came out, it was as if I had put a gun to her head and she couldn't get away fast enough.. Now when she sees me she turns tail !

    1. Shirl,

I have to say, it's not that long ago when I would have taken extreme exception to your comment.

But given the fact that the Muslim world, particularly in the Middle East, tends to be rife with virulent anti-Semitism and given the fact that the so many Europeans, particularly on the international left, spread lies and hatred toward the Jews of Israel, it's simply become too difficult for me to care.

    2. Mike

I've been 'sort of' studying Islam for about 4 or 5 years and the more I read, the more I dislike it.

I am more than annoyed when the Qur'an is compared to the 'Bible'. The OT is no more than a collection of stories written by different people.

The Qur'an is the word of one man, who started out by founding a peaceful religion. Somewhere along the way he became a murderer, rapist and paedophile. When something didn’t go his way, he changed his writings to reflect it.
Mainstream Islam won’t accept Ahmadiyya Muslims, who are the peaceful Muslims.

I'd hazard a guess that you average believer has no idea at all what is in the Qur'an, as is all in Arabic

"Qur’an 8:12: “Your Lord inspired the angels with the message: I am with you. Give firmness to the unbelievers. I will terrorise the unbelievers. Therefore smite them on their necks and every joint and incapacitate them. Strike off their heads and cut off each of their fingers and toes. Slay them wherever you find them. Drive them out of the places from which they drove you. Idolatry is worse than carnage [any faith other than Islam and anything that is not Islamic]. If they attack you put them to the sword. Thus shall the unbelievers be rewarded: but if they desist, [submit to Islam, the crushing jizya tax and the slave state of dhimmitude] God is forgiving and merciful”.

Quran 8:12: "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Qur'an 5:51 "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

  5. It is truly amazing how human beings, if their perceiving what in fact is the case feels unpleasant to them (causes them to feel fear of perceiving a situation which feels unpleasant to them, or causes them to feel fear of not viewing themselves as being what they view as being "good", or causes them to feel fear of being thought of as "bad" by others, etc.), refuse to acknowledge as being what, in fact, is the case, what, in fact, is the case.

    It's unfortunate.

It's good to be mindful and to acknowledge what, in fact, is the case -- so that one can discern what's beneficial to do and so that one can then do what's beneficial.

    1. The postmodern trend in the academe helped spread the idea... an idea that became a generalized feeling for many people... that "truth" is almost entirely subjective and that "regimes of truth," even going to the sciences, are about nothing so much as they are about power.

In this way politics trumps notions of truth and evidence does not lead to conclusions, but evidence is there to be utilized or ignored in the service of politics.

Nobody is perfect, including your humble host, but the fact that so many people ignore or deny obvious truths, such as that BDS comes primarily out of the progressive-left, indicates to me that you are on to something significant.

  7. There has always been an impatience or outright hostility from the left (and far rightists) for facts and truth that don't fit the narrative.

Have you noticed how angry they get when confronted with something like the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and Muslim lands? It's as if they just can't bear it.

Now they have a philosophy with a fancy name to add a layer of respectability to this betrayal of common decency and subversion of the human intellect.
