    1. Yes, but Shirl, don't you know that Jewish self-defense is immoral?

Do you suppose that's why progressive-left American Jews have such a weak sense of Jewish self-preservation?

And, btw, in your opinion is this mainly a problem with progressive-left American Jews or progressive-left diaspora Jews, more generally?

    2. Yup Mike. We just let it all roll over our heads.

I think the loony lefties, as they are called here, are more about self destruction than self defence.

We've had a long line of anti-Israel Jews here lately and not one word about it from Community leaders, who appear to be afraid of them .

This is going to change next year. I am sick to death of the Left and I have some big plans afoot to deal with them and their takeover of our Community organisations.

The problem is also with the Right, who do nothing and then complain. They have a big shake up a'coming

I might be sorry. But hey,I'm not worried. If I was I wouldn't be the one who stands up at meetings and voices my opinion. I hear the sighs, I see the faces but you get nowhere by being shtum

      Good shabbos

  2. Electronic Intifada’s Ali Abunimah tweeted yesterday about Israelis “whining about rockets”

I say Israelis send as many his way and see if that "whining," word changes any. Idiot.

    1. Doodad,

for many people, particularly certain types on the progressive-left, violence against Jews is not considered violence and efforts at Jewish self-defense are considered a form of aggression.

This, in a nutshell, is why the left simply cannot be trusted on questions around the long Arab war against the Jews.

Our numbers have been kept artificially low throughout the Middle East, yet they honestly believe that our persecutors are our victims and many comfortable Jewish "progressives" justify this sentiment to the larger non-Jewish world by telling them that the real problem is the wrong type of Jews.

Progressive-left Jews tell the world that conservative Jews and the "settlers" are a primary cause for Arab aggression against us and this justifies that aggression to non-Jews throughout the world.

And that is why so much of the left press, like dkos and the HuffPost and the Guardian, blame Jews for violence against our fellows in Israel.

  3. Michael, you can add the Sydney Morning Herald and the Age to your list of newspapers.

The pro-Palestine group and Ma'an News are saying the poor pallies, never mind Israel copping it.

No other country would put up with what Israel has put up with for so long without retaliating.

    1. No, that's just the job that Jewish people have signed up for and do. But Jewish people can quit that detrimental job.

And retaliating is not the answer. Telling the truth is the answer. But, first, Jewish people must learn the truth.

  4. Re: The belief that Jewish self-defense is immoral

"...I find it shameful and see in all this the rise of a new fascism, a new Nazism. A fascism, a Nazism, that much more grim and revolting because it is conducted and nourished by those who hypocritically pose as do-gooders, progressives, communists, pacifists, Catholics or rather Christians, and who have the gall to label a warmonger anyone like me who screams the truth. ..."

Orianna Falaci was an Italian journalist who opposed fascism, and who fought, as a partisan, against the Nazi-German-allied Fascist regime of Italy during World War II, and who, in the late 1960's, in being, at that time, a trendy Leftist, supported "the 'Palestinian' cause".

    1. The thing is, the rank-and-file members of the contemporary so-called "Left" have fallen for a false (racist intendedly genocidal anti-Jewish) narrative whose propagation has been in alignment with an agenda that has been engaged in most concertedly by, and most importantly by, people who those rank-and-file members of the contemporary "Left" would call "Right-Wing" -- "Far Right-Wing" if those rank-and-file members of the contemporary "Left" would learn who those people are.

What many people seem to miss is that there are the out-and-front political groupings of people ("politically active" laypeople, and "political activists", and, in general, members of the U.S. congress, etc.) and then there are the people behind the scenes in the the non-elected, bureaucratic, very powerful sectors of government (sectors of government whose forms in the U.S. government (the State Department, etc.) I have heard called by a particular name -- which I think is something like "the permanent government") and, involved with that, the people in the corporate/financier/industrialist classes of Western societies who own the largest "parent companies" of the commercial corporations of the Western world, including the media corporations of the Western world.

"Left" and "Right" -- at the "highest" levels of political administration (governmental and non-governmental) -- are two sides of the same coin. "Soviet/Nazi", in brief, to use shorthand. And the agendas and members of both of those factions overlap at the "highest" levels of political administration (governmental and non-governmental). And the agendas and members of both of those factions are represented in the upper-levels of the actual governing classes in the U.S. (including, and importantly, in the State Department).

The terms "Left" and "Right", in terms of politics, have no actual essential meaning. The terms, in politics, that have the most actual meaning are the term "totalitarian" and the term "liberal" (in the actual original meaning of the political term "liberal"). And the term "totalitarian" invariably means anti-Jewish. And the term "liberal" invariably means pro-Jewish/non-anti-Jewish. And, btw, the members of the contemporary "Left" -- at the "political activism" leadership level of the contemporary "Left", and at the rank-and-file level of the contemporary "Left" -- are totalitarian, and, involved with that, are ignorant, and bigoted, and prejudiced, and indoctrinated with racist anti-Jewish lies, and, involved with that, are anti-Jewish; and many contemporary so-called "Conservatives" are liberal in the actual original meaning of political term "liberal" and are, as part of that, "open-minded"/reasonable/non-totalitarian (and, involved with that, are pro-Jewish/non-anti-Jewish).

    2. However, I think that many Americans -- both "Liberal" and "Conservative" -- are decent and share with each other the same basic moral values and basically share with each other the same essential political views, and, if they would actually talk to each other and listen to each other, would realize that they share with each other the same basic moral values and basically share the same essential political views. And, so-called "Liberal" people would most especially learn that about so-called "Conservative" people and, I think, would realize that so-called "Conservative" people are right about certain things that they -- so-called "Liberal" people -- have been wrong about.

    3. And what would be the best -- the most effective -- form of self-defense for Jewish people? Telling the truth -- the true factual history and current reality of the situation that Israel is in.
