  1. Heh.

The 30 Most Portland Things that have ever happened in Portland.

I was probably there for all of them, but I definitely remember the goat boarding a TriMet bus. That happened on one of my regular bus lines, though I wasn't on that particular bus.

Those things (pygmy goats) are everywhere in Portland, and they're awesome!

The first time my mother (who has spent her entire life in North Jersey, excepting a few years in The Bronx and a year in Phoenix, AZ) came out to visit me there, we rented a car and were driving up along Mississippi Avenue when we encountered a gentleman taking his goat for a walk. After like a triple take, my mother started pointing and screaming "Goat! Goat! He's walking a goat!"

    Good times.

    1. That's pretty funny.

It reminds me a little of when we were in Tel Aviv and I saw a Chasid in full garb on roller-skates pushing a baby carriage!

      I laughed my ass off.
