They Love to Throw Rocks at Jews

Mike L.

The snippet below was written by Noam (Dabul) Dvir and published by Y-Net:
Some 14 people sustained light injuries Thursday as a result of stones hurled near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City.
The wounded, who were on a bus traveling in the city as the stones hit the vehicle, were injured by the stones and broken glass.

The majority of the injured are members of the same family – parents and their ten children, aged one to 19 years old. A father and son who were also on the bus were injured.
Arab teenagers and children have been throwing rocks at Jews for 14 centuries.

None of this is new and it is not a matter of "resistance," as progressive-left activists would tell you, but is a very long-standing Arab-Muslim racist hobby against the Jewish minority in that part of the world.

I think that Israel should seriously crack-down on this kind of thing.  The local Arabs need to understand that if they are going to allow their kids - or encourage their kids - to pelt their neighbors with rocks then there will be a serious price to pay.

In the Middle East throwing stones at Jews is a symbolic act of dominance.  It's a matter of reinforcing dhimmitude.

Israel is, nevertheless, the dhimmi that got away and they should make it very clear to the progeny of their former masters that this sort of behavior will no longer be tolerated.  It may very well be a long-standing Arab-Muslim tradition, but the Jews of the Middle East are under no obligation to honor that tradition.

  1. Y'know, Norman, I would never think of Israeli Jews as dhimmis.

Diaspora Jews tend to be dhimmitudenous, that much is certain, but Israelis?

I guess I still hold to what might be an old-fashioned notion that Israelis are tougher than that, but I am beginning to question that stereotype.

Netanyahu is going to release a bunch of murderers for the privilege of sitting down with the loathsome figure of Mahmoud Abbas.

So, you tell me, why is it that I feel vaguely nauseous?

  2. Apply some variation of Koranic law and lop off their hands. I'm sure someone can find a sharia precedent for that.

    Fatah honors arch-terrorist
by proudly listing 61 of his murders

Fatah glorifies terrorist Abdallah Barghouti as "brave prisoner" because he prepared the bombs for suicide terror attacks that:
    - "killed 15 Zionists" at Sbarro restaurant
    - "killed 11 Zionists" at Moment Café
    - "killed 15 Zionists" at Sheffield Night Club
    - "killed 9 Zionists" at Hebrew University
    - "killed 11 Zionists" at the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall

by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik

Fatah continues to follow Palestinian Authority policy documented by Palestinian Media Watch of honoring terrorists, among them Abdallah Barghouti.

A picture glorifying 5 of the suicide bombings that Barghouti prepared explosives for and which killed 61 "Zionists" was posted by the administrator of the official Facebook page of the Enlistment and Organization Commission of Fatah. Terrorist Barghouti was honored as the "brave prisoner" and his attacks as "self-sacrificing activity" and "Martyrdom-seeking operations." "Martyrdom-seeking operations" is the Palestinian euphemism for suicide bombings.

Barghouti is serving 67 life sentences for preparing explosives for terror attacks in which 67 people were murdered - Sbarro restaurant (15 killed, Aug. 9, 2001), Sheffield Club (15 killed, May 7, 2002), Moment Café (11 killed, March 9, 2002), triple attack at Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall (11 killed, Dec. 1, 2001), Hebrew University (9 killed, July 1, 2002), and Bus 4 in Tel Aviv (6 killed, Sept. 19, 2002).

Following PMW's exposure of the visits this past May by PA TV to the homes of terrorist Barghouti and two other arch terrorists who between them are serving 166 life sentences, PA TV criticized PMW saying they are not terrorists but "heroes" and attacked PMW for calling them "terrorists".

    "The free prisoner Abdallah Barghouti
    Personal information:

Married and father of one son and two daughters: Osama, Tala and Safa.
Studied electrical engineering in South Korea.

Date of arrest: March 5, 2003.
His self-sacrificing activity: Planning a series of Martyrdom-seeking operations (i.e., suicide terror attacks) during 2000-2003:

    - The Sbarro restaurant operation in Jerusalem which killed 15 Zionists
    - The Moment Café operation which killed 11 Zionists
    - The Sheffield Night Club operation which killed 15 Zionists
    - The Hebrew University operation which killed 9 Zionists
    - The Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall operation which killed 11 Zionists

    Prison sentence: 67 life sentences.
Recipient of the longest [prison] sentence in the history of the Palestinian issue."

  4. Israelis need to come together and stand their ground if their government won't defend them from those who regularly try to murder them.

Perhaps if a few vans of armed Jews in the territories fire back once coming under attack (and I do mean fire back, for real and with serious force), then perhaps officials would take steps to shut these regular stonings down.

No other people in the world are expected to meekly accept being stoned in their homeland.

Or anywhere else, for that matter.

If New Jerseyans regularly found themselves under fire from stone-throwers on Garden State Parkway overpasses, you'd better believe there would be state troopers out brutally kicking the asses of the stone throwers in that case. If not shooting at them from helicopters.

It's time all Jews, no matter where they live, are recognized as people, too. And it's time their attempted murderers are treated as the violent, vicious wannabe murderers that they are. And shut down. By any means necessary.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!

      ;O)

I tend to agree with you, of course. I mean, look, none of us like the idea of cracking down on anything or anyone, but what are you going to do?

Israel absolutely must make it be known to the people who indulge in this kind of thing that it is entirely unacceptable and that there will be serious consequences for those who do so.

If Israel were to crack down on young Arab stone-throwers than the Europeans won't like it and neither will American progressives, because they honestly believe that Arab youth in that part of the world have every reason to pelt Jews with stones.

      It's amazing, isn't it?

    2. "I mean, look, none of us like the idea of cracking down on anything or anyone, but what are you going to do?"

Exactly. I don't like saying it, but it's obvious that pleas of "hey guys, come on now, that isn't nice, please stop doing this" aren't going to work.

Sooner or later, something more effective is going to have to be tried. It isn't a call for violence, it's a call to end violence.

  5. There is something seriously sick about a political culture that uses its children as front line soldiers deploying lethal tactics against civilians.

And they call the Israelis "cowards".
