This is Your Movement, Fellahs

Karam

"It sounds like they are torturing children to me. (0+ / 0-)

Par for the course for all of the racist regimes of Israel. Since ethnic cleansing won't get itself done.

A democratic come back

This is not the right-wing, but the left-wing.

This is your movement.

This is a voice of the political movement that you support and he is not an anomaly. Not a day goes by where we do not hear these voices throughout progressive-left media.

He says that it "sounds like" the Jews are torturing children.

He says that Israel is "racist" and seeks "ethnic cleansing."

Now, tell me, just how is this so different from the Jewish defamation in journals like Der Sturmer, prior to the Holocaust?

Don't you recognize that the defamation and demonization of the Jewish state, today, essentially mirrors the defamation and demonization of the Jewish people in that generation? It is in progressive-left venues like Daily Kos wherein we see today's efforts to cast the Jews as evil.

And, yet, you support this political movement, a movement which currently peddles the most horrific anti-Semitic notions and that may very well end up bringing misery to your own family and people.

I just find it sad... not to mention entirely stupid.

  1. As a rule, an I/P diary at dKos is designed to demonize or delegitimize Israel. They may as well be paid agents of Hamas.

  2. I don't usually say things like this, but that commenter is an abomination.

  3. How odd that home to contemporary Jew Hatred would be the progressive-movement and the grassroots / netroots of the Democratic party.

    What a shame.

  4. Just watched the Republican debate. I through it was scary.

  5. I haven't seen it, school, but did anything that they say scare you more than a nuclear Iran or an Islamist Middle East?

  6. Plenty. Paul could care if Iran goes nuclear, while many of the others are seem too eager for war. In truth, there is nothing to prevent them from rolling over either. It's a terrible situation and I do not pretend to know the best solution, except perhaps to get behind domestic insurgent forces.

They said lots of extreme stuff, from stripping the government bare to outlawing abortion to their admiration for Scalia and Thomas.

I think overall they understand the threat better than Obama, but they would overreach and not be effective on too many fronts. Unless it's just a ploy and they would use both hard and soft power.

Domestically, many suffer and they would destroy the safety net by leaving it to the market without scant regulation.

Neither side looks appealing at this stage.

  7. Well, that's fair enough.

I am opposed to the Democrats because I do not like what is going on with the base, nor what Obama has done, either domestically or in terms of foreign policy.

But I certainly get your reservations about the Republicans.  I will probably vote for one of them for the first time ever, but I get your concerns, believe me.
