Palestinian nationalism is grounded in genocidal Jew hatred and they use that kind of terminology because in their quest to create as much hatred towards Jews as possible they know that the rhetoric of human rights resonates with gullible westerners.
It's a con and it's working brilliantly. They've even managed to convince huge numbers of liberal Jews that Israel is guilty as hell.
