About 70 miles northeast, up by my parents and sisters in NJ, they've got close to half a foot already and they're gonna get a bit more overnight. But not as much as New England. Wind looks really nasty out there, though, and everything looks hard and icy. Blah. Certainly shouldn't complain, though! It's still going on further up northeast for another few hours, where they already have feet.
January '96 is the worst winter storm I remember, we got about 37 inches of snow, I think it was, where I was living that year. I was negative-one year old in '78. ;)
Still sucks that Times of Israel is so lame in being able to hold on to messages. To blame Facebook is a joke. If that is the way they interface, then they should fix it.
Weird that I've never had a problem there, it's usually me who the Technology Overlords like to mess with. Heh. I do see others posting there with Yahoo accounts, and that was a complete fail for me when I tried to do that, so yeah. It does seem to be the weirdest place when it comes to random commenting glitches, that I've ever come across. I recall Doodad mentioning he had problems, too.

I do suggest that people go to Tikkun Daily and confront The Troub, civilliy, of course, so that his arrogance and indifference to his fellow Jews may be established for the wider audience. Same for MJ.
They say pro-Israel people are Israel Firsters, but what does supporting Hamas and Hezbollah make them? Too smart for us, in their solidarity with sworn enemies. I think they are fools, and their positions immoral.

Their blog roll is 'interesting' too, especially its link to Mondoweiss. Talk about three strikes: David Harris-Gershon, MJ Rosenberg and Mondoweiss.
I mean, not that there's anything wrong with having one specific-ish point of view (as most blogs do), but despite the protestations of its defenders I do not see any voices or links at that site which even come remotely close to being the flip side of those anti-Israel coins.
And as for the TOI piece - I was only going to comment in Ms. Price's piece there if my buddy David showed up, which he didn't. Otherwise, I decided to leave it be, and let Mike handle it when he gets around to it.

Ah ha! I figured it out, and I see them now. Actually, there's like a dozen comments in that thread by now. I am certainly not needed there. Yet another example of my observation that David Harris-Gershon is fantastically and amusingly horrible at defending himself on forums at which he doesn't have the protection of Daily Kos moderators. I can't wait for a potential debate between him and, say, Alan Dershowitz one day...

I read that thread over there with your Brave Anonymous interlocutor. Fantastic stuff. I picture that person fist-pumping and flexing in the mirror after leaving each comment, positive they've just scored a knockout blow, only to check back increasingly frustrated at being repeatedly brushed off as the inane, hateful boor that they are.
Though not a conservative, I do read what conservatives write, unlike the dismissive attitude of some progressives who live in an echo chamber as described by Dianna Mutz.
It's just as bad with conservatives, the so-called "Mutz Paradox."
I just referenced progressives because of a recent conversation where someone told me he did not have to read something different because he "knew" what it said.
