Mike L.
Is Barack Obama anti-Semitic?
I don’t think he is because he doesn’t blather anti-Jewish racist themes in public, but ultimately who cares? Obama promotes movements and organizations, including genocidal organizations like the Brotherhood, that are anti-Semitic.
So who am I to quibble?
Mike,
ReplyDeleteJust to let you and others know: In my previous comment -- on the blog post titled "Israel fears for Tunisia's Jews" -- I wasn't implying that you were expressing that you think that Barack Obama is what you've expressed you think of as being "antisemitic". You've repeatedly made it clear that you don't think that Barack Obama is what you've expressed you think of as being "antisemitic".
However, I understand that Barack Obama holds bigoted wrong views about the Jewish people -- just as most people in Western societies hold bigoted wrong views about the Jewish people. Moreover, Barack Obama holds bigoted wrong views, in particular, about Israel. And I've tried to express that what is called "antisemitism" is simply bigotry towards Jewish people and is not some "special" thing that requires "special" qualifiers to be the bigotry that it is. And the bigotry that Barack Obama holds against Israel and the Jewish people is bigotry that, I think, is at a part of the spectrum of anti-Jewish bigotry that is more severe than, I think, is held by very many other American people against the Jewish people. And the bigotry that Barack Obama holds against Israel and the Jewish people is coming from, I think, mainly a point of view that is so-called "Left-Wing" -- a position of anti-Jewish bigotry that is so-called "Left-Wing" -- a type of anti-Jewish bigotry that is so-called "Left-Wing".
However, I strongly recommend to, rather than focusing on, or rather than focusing solely on, Barack Obama, start focusing on the policies of the U.S. "establishment" toward Israel since soon before Israel was officially re-founded, and toward the Jewish people for the past century.
(continued)
I think that focusing on, and therein, blaming, or seeming to blame only, Barack Obama, will turn away contemporary so-called "liberals" (contemporary so-called "liberals" who currently believe lies which vilify Israel).
DeleteMoreover, Barack Obama is not the main issue. The main issue is the policies of the U.S. "establishment" toward Israel since soon before Israel was officially re-founded, and the policies of the U.S. "establishment" toward toward the Jewish people for the past century. Barack Obama is only continuing that agenda. However, Barack Obama, and the current U.S. administration under Barack Obama, is doing so more overtly than previous U.S. administrations. And Barack Obama, himself, and his advisors and appointees and associates are doing so from an ideological position from the (Soviet-influenced) "Left", rather than from the Republican "establishment" (Nazi-supporting) "Right". And I think that the position of the Republican "establishment" (Nazi-supporting) "Right" is the ideological position from where the anti-Jewish anti-Israeli agenda of, I think, most previous U.S. administrations have been coming from in the racist campaign against Israel by the U.S. "establishment". However those positions -- "Left" and "Right" -- from where the U.S. "establishment" has been coming from in its war against Israel are now largely combined with each other, and have always been somewhat combined with each other. The Republican "establishment" aligned with, and included, Socialists. Etc. Allen Dulles and his friend, British official, and Socialist, and convert to Islam, Jack Philby. The wealthiest American families who constituted much of the Republican party U.S. "establishment" and who included Socialists. Etc. There's a connection, and intermingling, between totalitarians of all so-called political affiliations -- "Left" and "Right" -- which most people are not aware of. The main thing that needs to be done is to expose the racist covert war on Israel and the Jewish people that the U.S. "establishment" has been waging for the past over sixty years.
The Secret War Against the Jews, by John Loftus[1] and Mark Aarons
Delete"The authors demonstrate that numerous Western countries, especially the United States and Great Britain, have conducted repeated and willful spying missions on Palestine[2] and later Israel over many decades. While on the surface these two countries and others profess to be ardent allies of Israel, they work, in fact, through their intelligence services to betray Israel's secrets to the Arabs. Their motive: oil and multinational profits, which must be attained at any price through international covert policies. To understand the duplicitous nature of the West's diplomatic relations with Israel, the authors contend that one must understand the history that begins after the end of World War I with the sordid Mideast exploits of a British diplomat, Jack Philby. They then proceed into a detailed discussion of the boardrooms of American and English bankers and lawyers who had strong connections with Nazi leaders and Arab oil tycoons in the 1930s prior to the outbreak of World War II. Particularly intriguing is the information that the writers present to suggest an all-too-cozy financial relationship that existed between the Allied intelligence community and German banks even during the war. ..."

America's Nazi Secret: An Insider's History, by John Loftus
"Fully revised and expanded, this stirring account reveals how the U.S. government permitted the illegal entry of Nazis into North America in the years following World War II. This extraordinary investigation exposes the secret section of the State Department that began, starting in 1948 and unbeknownst to Congress and the public until recently, to hire members of the puppet wartime government of Byelorussia—a region of the Soviet Union occupied by Nazi Germany. A former Justice Department investigator uncovered this stunning story in the files of several government agencies, and it is now available with a chapter previously banned from release by authorities and a foreword and afterword with recently declassified materials. ..."

The Arab Lobby, by Lee Smith
"...Mitchell Bard's [book] describes how this Arab lobby — from U.S. foreign service officers, oil companies, Christian anti-Zionists, and Ivy League universities to Gulf Arab states, Arab-American activists and Islamist ideologues — exercises its influence in U.S. politics. ..."
"...AIPAC is a grassroots organization funded by U.S. citizens that represents the broad sentiment of Christians and Jews who are interested in one issue—protecting and promoting the [supposed] U.S.-Israel relationship. The Arab lobby, by comparison, has little organic U.S. backing and divides its efforts between two causes — oil and Palestine. ..."
"...The real power [of the Arab lobby] is in the hands of the Arab lobby's oil sector, the role of which is to keep the Arab oil producers happy by ensuring that Americans stay addicted to oil, that the defense industry keeps its production lines open, and that the image of Arab states stays polished..."

Is the US an ally of Israel? - A chronological look at the evidence, by Francisco Gil-White
Delete"Introduction
"Around the world, there is a striking convergence of opinion concerning the relationship between the US and Israel.
"Supporters of the PLO - synonymous with 'supporters of a Palestinian state', because the PLO will run any such state - are convinced that the US is an ally of Israel. Some believe the US employs Israel in order to expand the American empire, and others - echoing the claims of that infamous forgery, 'The Protocols of Zion' - believe that history's greatest superpower, the US, is actually the pawn of tiny Israel. Either way, they are agreed that the US and Israel are supposedly 'a team.'
"Supporters of Israel naturally disagree with supporters of the PLO about most things but not on this point, as they also believe that the US is a friend of Israel - perhaps its only real friend. Whereas those who are pro-PLO are especially infuriated by perceived US support for Israel, those who are pro-Israel are deliriously grateful for the same (especially so in the case of Zionist Jews).
"Given that across the spectrum of those politically mobilized on this issue, from one pole to the other, everybody appears to have the same opinion on this, casual observers are naturally drawn into agreement as well, creating a crushing consensus all over the world: the US is an ally of Israel.
"But is it true?
"Let us first ask: what is an ally? My dictionary defines 'ally' as 'one who is associated with another as helper.'
"Everybody knows that the US says it supports Israel. But actions speak louder than words. What is the evidence of US actions? In this piece I provide a chronological list of relevant US policies over the years.
"I am hoping that this piece will begin a debate. It is not finished, and the research relevant to its claims is ongoing. I shall be updating the piece as I gather more data. But I have already assembled quite a lot, below, and what I have is certainly sufficient to challenge the common view. I believe, in fact, that what I have presented below is already sufficient to refute the common view many times over, and the compilation of these documented facts came as a big eye-opener. Hopefully this documentation will begin a serious debate on this question, rather than an automatic assumption based on official claims of US support for Israel - which claims are cheaply, and therefore easily, made.
"It is important to remember that what is examined here is the behavior of the US foreign policy Establishment, which is secretive. The evidence therefore speaks to what is, and has been, the true position of the US ruling elite with regard to Israel and the Jewish people. It does not speak to the position of the American people, many of whom, I believe, will be outraged to find that, as I document below, the US specializes in attacking Israel. In fact the section on 1947-48 contains dramatic evidence that ordinary Americans tend not to favor the anti-Jewish policies of the US ruling elite...."

DeleteCorrection:
DeleteI wrote the following writing which is writing that doesn't accurately express what I think and which doesn't express what I meant to express. I retract the following writing that I wrote.
"And the bigotry that Barack Obama holds against Israel and the Jewish people is bigotry that, I think, is at a part of the spectrum of anti-Jewish bigotry that is more severe than, I think, is held by very many other American people against the Jewish people."
What I meant is that Barack Obama holds antipathetic bigoted wrong views about Israel, and that his holding of those antipathetic bigoted wrong views that he holds about Israel are involved with bigoted wrong views that he holds about the Jewish people -- which are bigoted wrong views about the Jewish people that very many people in Western societies hold. However, his holding of antipathetic bigoted wrong views about Israel are largely a result of his having been indoctrinated with lies about Israel by the Marxist and "Leftist" and Arab "Anti-Zionists" who are the people who have been his mentors and friends throughout his whole adult and teenage life.
But, again: the "motives" of Barack Obama are irrelevant. What are relevant and what are important are his actions.
And, again: what are most important are the agenda and policies of the U.S. "establishment" toward Israel and the Jewish people since before Israel was officially re-founded up until the present time.
Dan, you broke your record!
