    1. I was never a big fan, but when I was a child we had the Odd Couple, which I watched. When I was a teenager we had Laverne & Shirley, which I did not. But she was part of my childhood... me and millions of others. It's a bit heartbreaking.

    1. Holy shit! All these years, I thought that she was Jewish!

      LOL.

      Not that it really matters, but I always assumed that she was Jewish.

      This reminds me a bit of when I first learned that Valerie Harper, of Rhoda-fame, was Italian.

      That's OK. It does not change anything, but why did so many of us assume that she was Jewish?

      I suppose it goes to the close shoulder-by-shoulder relations between Jews and Italians in New York and in the entertainment industry.
