Ten Reasons Why the Progressive-Left may Reelect Donald Trump

Michael Lumish

1) "Progressive" anti-white racism.

2) "Progressive" antisemitic anti-Zionism.

3) Intersectionality.

4) Wimpish university "safe spaces."

5) Microaggressions.

6) Gender-neutral pronouns.

7) Men competing as women in women's sports.

8) The racist Women's March fiasco.

9) The "squad."

10) And last but not least, this never-ending constant hostility for the guy coming out of the progressive-left and the Democratic Party. What his enemies do not seem to realize is that their toxic hatred reflects far worse on them than it does on Trump.

“I am so tired of the extreme media bias.
    And yes. It is extreme.

Never before has it come into such stark focus as it has under the Trump administration.

There is hardly any mention of the name Trump without either an
    overt or disguised negative comment.

It almost doesn’t matter who is reporting it.

The attitude is the same. Anything the President says or does is bad. No matter what it is.

Even his accomplishments are spun into the negative.”

  6. Perhaps it can be reduced to political correctness, cancel culture, resistance, impeachment, and a derangement that eliminates common sense and the ability to distinguish between what is right and wrong.

If it is shown they criminally acted to get Trump, what will that mean and high high will that go?

Let's not forget that more blacks are starting to see that progressives talk, but do nothing. That is a migration that could shake the ground.

  7. Off topic, but this comment was written for an thread at The Hill for "Johnson opens door to subpoenaing whistleblower, Schiff, Bidens."

Did not send it. Who needs the aggravation? The place is filled with people enraged by Trump. An idea that does not affirmatively disparage Trump is met with personal derision by people that are crude, rude and juvenile. The worst is how ignorant and how indoctrinated. Like Trump said, 64% of his coverage about al-Baghdadi was negative! Guess that's an improvement from the mid-90s. They are groomed to be dumbed down and to conform to what progressives say. Here goes:

Democrats are the pot calling the kettle black. No need to apologize for resisting their "resistance." The way they would wield power smacks eerily of authoritarianism. What have they really done to help better anyone besides themselves? To demonize people they are ignorant about as irredeemable? Harvey Epstein was a respected Democrat. Yet they demonize people whoever stands up to them, even when they do not support Trump. Kind of tells you something. They would legislate their way to a totalitarian state where thought crime will become the norm, and eventually it will turn on many of them. History will judge them poorly, for their ideas and actions. The tide is turning against them and their anger is proof. How one can hate like that is hard to understand, and it engenders the same in return. In the end the best experiment in self-government can change into something else under that name, but the reality far different than was ever expected, and not necessarily for the good.

  8. Listening to The Gulag Archipelago over time. The investigation of Trump by Schiff eerily resembles the show trials described under Stalin. However, Schiff seems more like Joe McCarthy. Will he suffer the same fate, as he should. He seems to have no scruples. As Levin said, it is tyranny of the Congress causes long term damage to the republic for short term gain. This is a black mark on America.

    1. Yes, show trials in the Soviet Union and eastern bloc countries is what this has reminded me of all along. We are acting like those countries we used to stick our noses up at.

One need be neither a supporter nor defender of President Trump, his style or policy preferences to see this. It is as plain as day. I don't think Schiff and co. are really fooling most people.

Well well, another Trump admin move to support Israel. This will go the way of the dodo if Trump loses. Warren or Sanders will stop it, give half the US aid to Gaza and and move the Embassy to Gaza and invite PM Corbyn to host the opening ceremonies. Corbyn will say yes as long as he can invite Hebz and his Iranian friends and lay some wreaths on some terrorist graves.

The resolution passed at the UN’s Fourth Committee in New York 154-8, with 14 abstentions and 17 absences. It was one of eight pro-Palestinian resolutions approved on Friday, out of a slate of more than 15 such texts the committee is expected to approve. The UN General Assembly will take a final vote on the texts in December."

    1. How about blaming those truly responsible?

The UNGA likes such resolutions because it keeps the spotlight off its members. These resolutions are pretty much meaningless except to point out that racism against Jews is alive and well among the members states, which means that racism is pretty much alive and well, and endorsed by the member states. How much longer can the lie of "anti-racism" as a value of internationalism go on? The facade will crack and all will simply embrace racism and reveal themselves proudly as the racists they always were. It never ends with the Jews. So, if I were someone like, for instance, Marc Lamont Hill, only smart, I wouldn't get too comfy blaming the Jews.

    4. Too bad the press et al hate Trump with such a passion, partially but far from totally self-inflicted. The Democrats are turning into the anti-Israel party. Thanks go out to many for this but I big tip o'the cap to Barack Hussein Obama who spent some formative years from early childhood forming an emotional bond with Islam which I see as 1 contributing factor to his duplicitous treatment and sanctimonious hypocrisy in his Israel policy.
Trump must survive impeachment and win re-election to solidify these gains denying the "peace processors" a full reversal.
The Democratic Party is fast becoming a place that stinks to high heaven. Dicey times call for unusual alliances and creative thinking.

    5. Like Trump would say, he should have come out pro-Palestinian. The corruption and hypocrisy Trump inherited in DC is astounding. The true outsider, not afraid to confront those that were taking us to a dystopia, not afraid to play their game. J-Street progressives will proclaim this step was actually anti-Israel or simply racist. On the other hand, it might hasten Palestinian intransigence because now the territory is open.

  17. This is one of the ways you know you are not dealing with 'liberals' but rather with hard lefties. They will criminalize their political enemies while projecting their own behavior on to them.
oldschooltwentysix mentioned how this all looks like Soviet show trials and I absolutely agree. It's not even so new here.
Dershowitz has said Netanyahu hasn't done anything wrong. This has been the culmination of a coordinated campaign by the left to unseat him by any means necessary. Imagine being a good leftist - to think you are so wonderful and right about just everything in the world and that your opponents have no redeeming qualities, i.e., irredeemable deplorables as one incredibly tone deaf politician once put it, that you can give yourself permission to go out of the bounds of the rules, that your ends justify the means.

And if trying to dig up dirt on political opponents and using taxpayer funds and the organs of government to do so is so beyond the pale, then why have the Democrats been doing it for 3 plus years? These are radicals and I want no part of their political shenanigans. Schiff, Pelosi, Farty Swallwell, and the rest can go to ......

  18. Trump is one of the strongest defenders of Western Culture; Bibi of Jewish culture in Israel. Is it any wonder they are both being destroyed from what we know of not just the Left's agenda but....how can I say this without being seen as a racist SOB....their useful idiots. Not sure that works but most here will know what I'm talking about.

I am really angry at Dems generally who have grabbed onto the coattails of all this in a blatant power grab....it reeks of desperation (among other things.) The fact that they called it the resistance early on sickens me since it dredges up the appearance of something that was good and pure during the 60's (at least, so we thought.)

    1. Just think, we could have had Hillary Clinton, "Vagina in Chief", rooting out "implicit racism." * I guess we passed up a golden opportunity there, huh?
Without much of the explicit kind of racism left to root out, the implicit kind could have sustained the Democrat Party for several election cycles. They could have had a "stop and frisk" policy for white males to make sure "implicit racism" wasn't hiding in their trousers.

      * "Vagina in Chief" and "implicit racism" were the great hallmarks of Hillary's campaign for president, although she didn't use the phrase "vagina in chief"- that's my summation of her campaign's main theme taken from the many mailings I received from her 2016 campaign for President.

  20. At least now people should be able to see the extremism and threat of the resisters. They have not only been resisting Trump. They are a greater threat than Trump. Schiff is far more dishonest and apt to abuse power. He is in the mold of McCarthy. That will be the undoing. There is not even an appearance of fairness, starting from the adoption of the rule in Congress that led to the process. If the case was so strong, why not let the defense put on a case? Not to mention that Schiff appears to have colluded with the alleged whistleblower, is completely conflicted and and should have recused himself. Peter Rodino is rolling in the grave.

Israeli politics, who knows? In some ways, it seems as bent on destruction from within. Having to unite a people out of a Diaspora is difficult, even in the face of many external enemies, that no other people have to bear. It's sad to see, as here, people that hate the nation and state that has given them so much to be thankful for. Foolishly, they search for something that would probably be darker, in terms of self-determination, including for themselves.
