Nooses and Numbers

Doodad

One reason so many assumed the Bubba.Nascar noose story would turn out to be fake is that pretty much all noose race stories have turned out to be fake or misunderstandings. But, given the assumption that America is a racist hellhole, wouldn't one expect that the Bubba story would turn out to be a real hate event? Surely the laws of probability would say that  has to be the case. Yet we all know what happened.

My take is that America is NOT the racist hellhole so many claim. That would explain a lot.

Also, given the hue and cry over all this, you would think that racists would be falling all over themselves to plant nooses everywhere to crank up the hatred. So far, nothing.

You know, it's easy to fool the usual  suspects, the anarchists and the fools. They wanna be fooled.

  2. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day Israel started annexations. After talks with US officials, Bibi has delayed it. Sigh....

    1. Israel needs to extend its laws and official borders to defensible boundaries. That's the least it's entitled to, IMV.
But to do that, I believe it must develop a message and deliver it clearly, powerfully and consistently through its government and allies abroad. That's the practical side of things. But again, defensible borders are the least its entitled to under law. And Israel's declared supporters need to never lose sight of that. I fear many have.

Intelligent ammo against wokism and all its evil twins. I suspect I will spend most of the summer reading this stuff.

  5. Welcome to New Discourses! We like to think of this place as a home for the politically homeless, especially for those who feel like they’ve been displaced from their political homes because of the movement sometimes called “Critical Social Justice” and the myriad negative effects it has had on our political environments, both on the left and on the right. If that’s you, welcome, and make yourself at home.

New Discourses is, by design, meant to be apolitical in the usual sense. That means it is not interested in conservative, progressive, left, right, center, or any other particular political stances. It is, in this regard, only broadly liberal in the philosophical and ethical stance. In that case, whether you’re a progressive left-liberal or a conservative right-liberal, traditional or classical in any case, you’re likely to find what we’re doing refreshing. (And if you don’t, we can talk about it! That’s the point!)

The purpose of New Discourses is to meet the need that the problem of political alienation and homelessness has created. It is to be a place where dialogue is possible and encouraged, regardless of differences in politics, aiming to be responsible with our speech and thought while not feeling fettered by restrictions of political correctness in any of its myriad manifestations. It also hopes to inspire dialogue—both new ways to discuss old topics and new conversations in their own right.

In that sense, New Discourses is best thought of both as a media site and as an educational resource. Our aim is to produce high-quality material that can get you up to speed on what’s going on with our present discourses so we can have new ones. Our objective is to give you the tools you need to understand what’s going on around you in the world and talk about it effectively. We want you to understand, and we want you talking to others about what you’re understanding.

NO ONE showed up at a planned Pro
Foodbenders rally. NO ONE. Plus "In the past three days the unrepentant store owner has seen key food ordering apps — Uber, Ritual and DoorDash — severe their ties with her company. She’s had Ambrosia stores and Blue Heaven Cafe/Blue Heaven Coffee Vending indicate publicly they will not longer do business with her.

Early Wednesday evening Hawkins posted that Square payment system had just cancelled her account."

  11. Something truly amazing has happened. Melbourne has moved their remaining AFL clubs to other states, players, coaches, officials, the whole kit and caboodle

Melbourne is the nursery of AF ( Australian Football). A tough fast game that merged some foreign codes such as Gaelic football. rugby, soccer and overlaid heavily with local rules. They played it on the gold fields back when the Rush was on

And now it is played everywhere except Victoria. In theory. Not for long probably

  12. Families too of course. Its a huge cost and gamble but the football bosses must reckon that's its the best chance to keep the code with a pulse long enough to sell the tv rights which would have to be worth more than ever
