    Why do people hate Israel?

    Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan taught:

“We can and must fight anti-Semitism. But how?

First we must educate ourselves, through books, through interviews, and through friendly talks with our neighbors, whether Jewish or Christian.

We must understand the reasons for bigotry, wherever it appears. We must always be ready to speak up for our people, armed with the confidence of knowledge.”

  2. Abbas claimed yesterday at the UN that Palestinians are Canaanites. I thought, man that guy is nuts then I realized the Canaanites worshiped Moloch. He may be on to something.

    1. That's on Mondays. On Tuesdays Palestinians were descended from the Canaanite "Arabs." On Wednesdays they are the Jebusites. On Thursdays Jerusalem is their eternal capital. On Fridays they swear they're going to wipe out the Jews. On Saturdays they try. And on Sundays Jesus was a Palestinian.
That's just a typical week in the Palestine racket.

    2. Racket. Good word. That's what it is, of course, to anyone who has researched the subject to any degree. That excludes most of the "world community," who believe any garbage they are fed as long as it disses Israel.

    3. The funny thing, Doodad, is that if you read Arabic and German you probably could draw a historical line from the Hitler Youth to the contemporary Arafat Kids, if you get me.

I would have to back into the secondary sources, but I am pretty sure that the Hitler Youth had a sort-of Arab wing in Israel thru the 30s and early 40s.

Please do not hold me to this, because I would need to go back into the material, but we certainly know that the local Arabs were pro Hitler and many waved the Nazi flag in Israel... in Jerusalem.

That much is certain, but nobody discusses it.

    4. Mike,
I'm glad you enjoyed my rendition of 'That was the week that was,' Palestine edition.

BTW, American democracy as we have known it is in deep doo doo.

  3. Wow first time in 20 years roads and bridges are closed all around my town due to flooding (back then they built a big dyke which stopped the yearly flooding and provided a neat hiking/bike path.) Couldn't get across the bridge this am. No swarms of locusts yet so that's a relief.
