"You didn't count on me when you were counting on your rosary."

Michael Lumish

Ya know what?

Fuck it.

Every time that I turn around there is more horrific nonsense going on.

The United States has been flipping its shit since before the election of Trump-Hitler.

Now, naturally, we have the Florida massacre.

Some miserable, screwed-up kid shot up his fellow students and then the politicos go immediately into high-gear.

It is grotesque.

The first bit of hatred that I saw was right-wingers trying to paint this insidious, murderous moron as a communist or a socialist or some other form of left-wing idiot.

The second bit of hatred that I saw was left-wingers trying to paint this insidious, murderous moron as a Nazi-Klansmen-Trump-Lover.

In the meantime - on the Jew Front - Israel is gearing up for a possible war in the north.

We have Sarah Silverman kissing the ass of the little Ahed Tamimimimimi Monster.

And my friend, Reem Assil, is raking in the dough from Jew Hatred in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Yes, what a beautiful morning it is.

Ya know, to hell with it.

I am going to listen to a tune about some Jewish kid who wants to have sex with a Catholic virgin.

If anyone doesn't like it, they can go screw themselves.

  1. I hear ya Mike. Got me thinking. Americans (and the world community) especially leftists don't want any more Cruz's. Palestinians want millions of them...and the world pays them to train them. Sorry to add more rain to your parade.

    1. Are you kidding me, Doodad? I love rain. At the end of the day I want to live on the northern coast, someplace on the edge of the ocean between San Francisco and Seattle.

In fact, I want to find the very town where Adrienne Barbeau lived in The Fog.

I want zombies coming out of old shipwrecks in the middle of the night.

  2. Here's a song that's even more apropos: How Bizaare

"Every time I look around, it's in my face."

  3. When Billy Joel wrote the song: “Only the Good Die Young.” he profited personally by producing a song that is an embarrassment to the Jewish people; a song that does not accomplish anything except to unnecessarily provoke Catholics to hate Jews.

How many Jewish kids were beat-up by Catholic kids because of that stupid-and-wicked song?

Additionally, the title of that song reinforces an old falsehood, and can only discourage listeners from good behavior.

The lyrics of that distasteful song ridicule beneficial virtues and encourage behaviors that result in teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), which are often incurable.

If it were possible, I would apologize to all Catholics for that disgusting, false, blasphemous song, a song that unfortunately was written by a Jew.

Don’t we Jews already have enough problems, without Billy Joel writing a song that needlessly antagonizes Catholics, who are around 25% of the world’s population?

Billy Joel should first apologize to all Catholics for ridiculing them without cause [by writing that song]; and then he should apologize to all Jews for releasing a song that embarrasses decent Jews everywhere.

    1. I have to say, I do not necessarily disagree with you.

I was born in 1963 and grew up in NY and CT and when I was a young teen I had an Italian neighborhood friend that despised this tune.

He was genuinely offended and he was only 12 or 13!

He was angry at me for enjoying this song when it came on the radio.

But I suspect that you are making too much of this kind of thing.

It's practically a cliche within Jewish American culture. I am sure that you are aware of Philip Roth.

But there is nothing nefarious about this tune.

Billy Joel (whatever his actual name) is from my neck of the world, but from the previous generation. My guess is that he grew up around NY and NJ and, thus, lived in world of parishes and Catholic schools near regular high schools.

All this song does is reflect the reality that the writer grew up in and there is nothing the least bit terrible about it.

Young men - Jewish or otherwise - want to have sex.

Catholic girls on the East Coast of the United States during the middle of the twentieth-century were generally raised in conservative homes... homes that usually voted Democrat, by the way. And they were generally taught to be chaste.

That ethos did not always take, as my friend Madonna could tell you, but there it is.

All this artist is doing is reflecting a moment of his life as he understands it.

But this is in no way a threat to the Jewish people.

    2. Billy Joel is or was never a representative of the Jewish People or Judaism. He's a songwriter from NY writing about growing up in a certain place at a certain time.

  4. "The Trump administration plans to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem on May 14, according to Israeli officials.

Israeli officials told Axios that an “interim embassy” will be assembled at the consular annex in West Jerusalem, a building that currently handles visas and passports. U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman will move to the interim embassy with a small staff until a permanent location for the embassy can be determined.

The Associated Press also tweeted out the update Friday morning.

Moving the embassy on May 14, the 70th anniversary of the day Israel declared its independence, is much sooner than expected. On an official visit to Israel last month, Vice President Mike Pence announced that the embassy would not be moved until at least the end of 2019 to adequately account for security concerns."

Trump just keeps on giving to Israel.

    1. Trump very much needs to keep this promise.

The last thing that Donald Trump needs to get me pissed off!

      :O)

  5. It's always important to remember that most of this is about bellwether issues. Those are things that are never supposed to be solved and never can ne5. They're political shorthand so that everyone can stake out they're political brand. No more no less.

    1. You have a nice, concise way of getting directly at certain matters.

They're political shorthand so that everyone can stake out they're political brand. No more no less.

That is what people do... or, at least, what political types do.

One of the things that I find particularly annoying is the current disinclination among progressives to actually engage in discussion... discourse... debate.

You cannot call yourself "liberal" if you practice or support shunning or deplatforming or street violence or shouting down on college campuses.

The political atmosphere around Berkeley, for example, is not liberal, but left-authoritarian.

When did the left become so privileged that they no longer even believe in discussion?

  6. I knew some Catholic girls when I was a kid, if you know what I mean. We were adolescents for crying out loud, and horny. No one beat me up and a splendid time was had by all. Even with the heartbreak of breakups I don't regret a single moment.
