Female Border Guard officer kills Palestinian waving toy gun

Mike L.
A Border Guard officer shot and killed a Palestinian youth Wednesday after he threatened troops stationed near the Cave of the Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron, with what later turned out to be a toy gun.

An initial inquiry derived that the Palestinian walked up to the troops stationed at the checkpoint and pulled a gun on one of the officers. A female Border Guard officer noticed the event and fired at him, killing him.
How did they ever get the idea that pulling a weapon, fake or otherwise, on an Israeli soldier, female or otherwise, might not get them injured or dead?

We are constantly told what terrible brutes the Israelis are, but the truth of the matter is that if the IDF was even half as horrible as Palestinians tell us they are then they wouldn't challenge them so frequently.

Remember the little Palestinian blondie girl from a few weeks ago who screamed at, and punched, an Israeli soldier?  The same one that had done so previously at the encouragement of her Palestinian activist parents?

The reason that they pull this kind of nonsense is because the IDF is, in fact, a very humane army and therefore the Palestinians feel like they can get away with virtually anything.  They also know that if the IDF dares to defend the Jewish people in the Middle East the international left will rise up around the world screeching about Israeli aggression.  The European governments will condemn it and this American president will make certain that Israel's enemies, like Hamas, remain in a standing posture.

Nonetheless, I blame Palestinian parents and the Palestinian culture that encourages this kind of stupidity, but I also wonder about the Jewish inclination to strive for an ethereal moral standing that the world will never acknowledge.

In any case, the IDF is probably the single most moral army on the entire planet... but it's still an army.

  1. I almost cracked up when I read this post. It's tragic when something like this happens of course, but he pointed a toy GUN at soldiers?? Anyone who points a toy gun at at soldiers or police just about anywhere in the world will get the same response unfortunately. The other question - why did the kid's parents allow him to go carrying a toy gun around soldiers?

  3. The only reason that Jake's spam remains is because I do not want to erase Jay's comment by deleting Jake's.

I can think of few things more revolting than the very notion of "military toy guns."

Just as morons on the Left think that opposing some of their policies, or failing to follow around their leaders like a golum, makes one Right-Wing, so Right-Wing numbskulls think that opposing some Left-Wing policies makes one a Right-Winger.

G-d! G-d! Why did you put so many idiots on the earth all at the same time?

Jake is not welcome on this blog.
