This is just one of many funnies out there all attesting to the fact that something is really wrong with Joe Biden. Everyone knows it yet a lot of people will be voting for this dementia ridden candidate anyway. As Sar Shalom said
"They maintain Jewish loyalty because they are the alternative to movement conservatism. Provide a viable alternative to the Democrats who can keep movement conservatism out of power and I'll strongly consider voting for it."
He was speaking specifically about American Jewish voters yet the concept can be assumed to be true of most Democratic voters as well. Dementia over Conservatism. Sounds insane.
Put the same quote under a photo of Trump and the media will pretend he really said it. It will be an instant hit on FB where your 'friends' will be make comments such as the following I saw from a female commenter regarding Trump.
ReplyDelete"How.Did.We.Get.Here."
I can promise you I answered her using cis grammar. The gist of my comment had to do with the hash tag "Me Too" movement's stunningly stupid and popular propaganda campaign wherein we must all always believe a woman no matter what. My point was that that AOC-esque stupidity, that unwavering certitude while being absolutely wrong about everything, is not the beginning nor the end of our troubles, but is quintessentially typical of people brainwashed into not thinking.
There are gifted people who do think and with their gifts entertain the hell out of a generation or two with their brilliance. One such person is Woody Allen. Woody Allen is brilliant. He's funny, he's deep, he's poignant. He's not a perfect person, but whatever his problems I'll rather have dinner with him than any of the cheap suits or pantsuits in the commentariat.
I just ordered his autobiography and have read some excerpts as I await its arrival. I have also read some reviews and read about the controversy about its publication as well as the fact that his most recent films have been banned in this country - all because "a woman MUST be believed" (b'a'a'). Free speech is losing, and free thought is the victim. And it's losing in the world of art and literature. This augers something truly dangerous which we have seen before and not so long ago - elsewhere. Our once liberal culture is being transformed in front of our lying eyes into some grotesque mishmash of neo-marxist meets Victorian petticoat.
At the publishing house, Hatchett I believe, that was supposed to publish Woody Allen's book, "Apropos Of Nothing", employees staged a walkout, because "a woman is always to be believed" no matter what the evidence says, and in the case of Dylan (Mia) Farrow vs. Woody Allen two investigations into his alleged diddling his 7 year old daughter came to the same conclusion: that it was the complaint itself which was staged. I think the idea of book burners working for a publishing house is something that should scare us all into awakening from the zombie-like slumber of so-called woke-ness.
I've a few reviews of the book, some by intelligent and literate people, and some by sophomore Me Too-ers - literal rather than literate and stupid, i.e., Woody Allen is plainly over their heads, yet they get paid well by mainstream news publications for toeing the party line - they're apparently not capable of anything else.
For those afraid of "movement conservatism" I would just say that the Democrats need to spend time in the wilderness for a while. Opposing movement conservatism with crazy ain't gonna work for me.
Correction to the penultimate paragraph: should read "literal and stupid rather than literate."
DeleteThere now seems a reason to oust Biden. Though the charge may be embellished. It will be interesting to see how Democrats will react.
ReplyDeleteWho would replace him? What would that say about the party of the people? Corruption reeks through the Democratic Establishment and the selection process.
Still, the TDS is so powerful that Trump could just as predictably lose. If Biden or Clinton, or Obama, were running the virus response, it's not hard to imagine a worse result, bogged down and poisoned by identity politics. Even with a measured mobilization, and guidelines according to experts, the adversaries will not concede one inch. Then they wonder and cry to tears when Trump fights back.
Buried, for the time being, are the revelations about the illegal plot to destroy candidate and President Trump. Pretend liberals could care less about that governmental abuse. To think that years earlier they castigated the Patriot Act.
It's sad to see people so out of tune, that so fixate on petty matters they are blinded to their own cognitive dissonance and that most people see right through it.
"If Biden or Clinton, or Obama, were running the virus response, it's not hard to imagine a worse result, bogged down and poisoned by identity politics."
ReplyDeleteHow delusional can you be? What we know is that almost anyone besides Trump, Democrat or Republican, would have unquestioningly followed the judgement of this country's epidemiologists. Perhaps those epidemiologists would make mistakes, but identity politics would have nothing to do with it.

DeleteHe's followed the experts. Name an instance where he hasn't followed recommendations. And of course his critics have been so on point with their actions. Even Fauci has egg on his face early on. Did you give any praise when he shut travel from China on January 31? Or fall back on identity politics and label him a racist?
DeleteSeems you are too blind to recognize anything positive Trump has done. Reminds of the anti-Israel crowd. Under his stewardship, he essentially modernized an obsolete system overnight. Have you even watched the task force briefings? Filled with medical experts, health experts, disaster experts, logistical experts. To say he has ignored the experts is wrong, but not surprising. TDS does that to people.
Won't even get into the incompetence of Obama, Biden and Clinton, partly from identity politics and lack of experience, and from an ideology that ignores reality on the ground, based on human nature, among other things.
"Did you give any praise when he shut travel from China on January 31?"
DeleteLocking the door to the barn after the horses have fled.
"Filled with medical experts, health experts, disaster experts, logistical experts."
Who constantly have to watch their words to avoid running afoul of dear leader. He uses them as props and feels free to ignore what they say.
So the answer is, NO. You seem to be all knowing about what occurs behind the scenes, but you don't know squat. Fauci contradicted you point blank and is on the media speaking his mind regularly. Even Birx contradicts you.
DeleteThe epidemiologists said over 2 million would die. We are seeing that their models were highly off. That Trump took extreme measures BECAUSE he listened to them, even if you fantasize they are cowered. In fact, Trump is more open than his detractors, such as yourself, will EVER be. You are just playing games and showing you have TDS.
"The epidemiologists said over 2 million would die. We are seeing that their models were highly off."
DeleteThe fact that you cite that shows that you have absolutely intellectual integrity. Their model was that without intervention, 2 million could die. There was intervention, so the conditions that the epidemiologists said could cause 2 million deaths did not exist.
If Trump is listening to the epidemiologists, explain the removal of Rick Bright from the agency overseeing coronavirus vaccine development because he refused to put resources into hydrochloroquine.
"That Trump took extreme measures..."
And he is pushing to undo the actually effective measures. He lacks the power to directly do so since those are mostly state and local decisions, but he bloviates about wrongheaded those state and local officials are for continuing those measures and claims that he does have the power.
"You are just playing games and showing you have TDS."
Pure projection!
Who is intellectually dishonest here? You said Trump basically ignores his experts, and that is clearly inaccurate.
DeleteThe Imperial College model that warned of 2.2 million U.S. deaths with no interventions also predicted 1.1 to 1.2 million deaths even with the most effective mitigation strategy. Trump did not make up the numbers. The "experts" did, and he listened to their advice. Again, name ONE example where he went against them.
In fact, there is also understanding of the health experts that health issues from shutting down for too long is problematic. You ignore that, and speculate they only advise with a gun to their head. Absurd. TDS!
Now Bright, who was already a disgruntled employee clashing with his superiors, is the only expert that matters? Another "whistleblower." A hero! All good TDSers glom on to Bright. Perhaps the fact that his lawyer, who was also in on the Kavanaugh fiasco, proves it is ONLY science he cares about. Again, absurd. TDS!
As bad as Trump may be, his enemies are worse and a greater threat, as they pretend to be all knowing and moral while their actions show otherwise.
Sar Shalom,
Delete"There was intervention, so the conditions that the epidemiologists said could cause 2 million deaths did not exist."
This was where you undermined your entire argument about Trump. You are unwittingly admitting that he indeed did follow the advice of medical experts. For crying out loud, he shut the country down to save lives.
oldschooltwentysix,
Delete"Seems you are too blind to recognize anything positive Trump has done. Reminds of the anti-Israel crowd."
TDS is hating Trump more than is absolutely necessary. So yes, the two rhyme quite a bit.
Hating more than absolutely necessary. Interesting way to put it. Whatever the cause, it becomes a question whether it's worth the effort. There will always be another excuse to justify the hate and delusion. In each case, because they fail to practice what they preach, they are increasingly seen as fringe. The noise is louder than the effect.
