Dear Sar Shalom,I tried to find the answer to your question with two google searches. This was the best answer I could find:www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/dec/11/punishing-the-saudi-prince/If you really want a serious answer to your question, then I suggest that you try to find a publication that specializes in following then activities of Congress.Sincerely,Mr. Cohen
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not exactly what I want. I've contacted my own senators about about the need to consider the geostrategic consequences of our actions in Yemen. I would like to augment that with either a petition or a demonstration to call attention to those consequences and demand that any show of disapproval of Saudi Arabia's actions be restricted to what would not effectively surrender the Bab-el-Mandeb to Iran.In the meantime, check out Evelyn Gordon's take on the situation: http://evelyncgordon.com/backing-the-saudis-in-yemen-is-right-strategically-and-morally/

Historically, America has been on the side of the South in bifurcated countries, South Korea and South Vietnam. The exception was Yemen, where we were on the side of North Yemen. Now we seem to be on the side of South Yemen. The problem is the lack of anything like good guys. It is impossible to defend Saudi Arabia and its conduct in this war, yet the Houthis will not come to the table. Ruth Benedict, the anthropologist, told the State Department that Japan was an honor/shame culture. That's only part of it, Japan was also a win/lose culture, either you won or lost and compromise was losing. The same is true of the Arab/Persian culture and that is really the problem.
