The Clusterfuck to Come

Michael Lumish

You need to expect the coming US election to be an enormous clusterfuck.

Pushing mail-in voting during this moment of enormous political tensions -- and downright partisan hatred -- is going to put people at one another's throats because whoever wins the other side will believe they got robbed and that the American democratic-republic is under a Constitutional threat.
I have two predictions for election night. The first is that we will not have a clear winner. The second is that the progressive-left rioting and violence will get out of control.
Obviously, I could be wrong, but with perhaps millions of mail-in ballots arriving at polling stations days after the actual election, this will leave everything in a sort-of heightened spastic, hysterical confusion that is a primary feature of this political and cultural moment, anyway. The violent young idiots in the streets will take advantage of the chaos to cause additional chaos, with its ensuing bloodshed, in the name of "social justice."
The right will respond by pointing the finger at the rioters. The left will respond by highlighting the chimera-like menace of White Supremacy and the Poor Boys and, even, the Wolverine Watchmen... whoever they are.
If I vote on November 3 it will not be for the man, nor for his running-mate. I will vote for or against the political movement(s) backing the candidates. Personally, I do not give a rat's ass about either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. What I do care about is the influence of their millions of backers on the cultural landscape.
As someone who comes out of the progressive-left and who was a Democrat for 25 years and who phone-banked for Obama in 2008, I am disgusted with the authoritarian left with its "cancel culture" and its patrolling the borders of freedom of speech.
It's the never-ending hypocrisy around issues of race and the perpetual self-righteous indignation that is most off-putting. They claim to be anti-racist even as they toss the color-blind ideals of Martin Luther King, Jr. into the gutter and urinate on white people and "Zionists" throughout the country and on American campuses.
They want "safe spaces" with crayons and teddy-bears for university-aged children just in case Ben Shapiro or Dave Rubin or Jordan Peterson drops by for a talk, even as those same children are crying "Death to America!" as they recently did in Oakland or as they drag innocent people from their cars and beat the holy shit out of them on the streets of Portland.
So, yes, I fully expect bloodshed come the night of November 3.
I will never forget this video from 2016. The chick is yelling "You voted Trump! Kill!!!" (between the 2 and 8 second mark) as people laughed watching an innocent man get his ass kicked by a mob.

  1. Most liberal Jews (moi excluded) don't even have the capacity to entertain what you are saying, and are filled with hate and rage at a president who has come to their aid in remarkable ways in contrast to his predecessor for whom they seem to have undying, unwavering, love and loyalty.
Most of my high school alumni seem to think it's 1972. I also think the liberal Jews amongst them have a pronounced shtetl mentality lurking just beneath the surface. I understand this tendency, but do my best to stand with the sabras of Israel, enlightened to actual reality and tough as nails. Israel is the future to the Jewish People. American Jews are mostly selfish and virtue signaling candy asses in love with the New York Times masthead rather than the content of that woke rag. A wake up call is coming.

  2. I'm not sure how the rank and file Trump voter (notice, I didn't say Republican) will react to this illegitimate farce we have been witnessing, should Biden get the nod. So far, the vitriol and violence has been mostly one sided. Wall Street, the MSM/Big Tech complex and pop curators of our woke culture might find that they are underestimating the displeasure of half the electorate. And they might come to regret the way they have written them off and out of history for the past 4 years.
I could be wrong, but I think a lot of people are not going to take this lying down. And it could be that those in the media who now delight in pushing buttons and downplaying the violence they have found useful might come to regret it if that violence is then turned on them. This might be a real possibility. You can't fuck with people's passions to that extent and be comfortable thinking nothing can happen.
The Power will of course try to smooth everything over after the "election." There will be puff pieces about bring the country together, i.e., the Democrats get their way, you go fuck yourselves, and Joe "uniting the country" (you go fuck yourselves). The Democrats will "protect democracy" by doing everything in their power to solidify the permanent hold on power. As for Israel and the Jewish people, your role will be the traditional one - to keep negotiating for your existence, where ever you live, in the face of a hostile world.

  3. New film explains the Russia Hoax, "The Plot Against The President." Recommended.

    Here's the trailer:

The full movie costs $5.99. Have something better to do?

  4. Too bad that history must catch up. There is too much evidence of corruption to escape forever, even if it's too late coming forth.

Democrats love to project. Because they do it they think everyone else does, too. So they accuse others of the things they have done. It happens time and again.

Looks like Biden was also in cahoots with the CCP on the backs of enslaved Chinese people, using his son as a bag man. All the while, he ran China policy as it militarized the South China Sea and stole U.S. intellectual property at record pace. Then he became an equity partner. Not bad for the big guy, but so much for empathy.

    As for films to see:

Uncle Tom from Elder (supposed to be incredibly good); What Killed Michael Brown? from Shelby Steele, and The Social Dilemma on Netflix.

Looks like there's still much to come before it's over.

  5. When I was growing up, a liberal sentiment was to "do your thing" or "do your own thing." Now, it's "do as you're told." Everyone was supposed to be a free spirit, encouraged to explore everything from sexuality, to states of consciousness, to the world around you. Now you are a potential racist, rapist and representative of some tribe or sub group in a pecking order of a victim/reward perversion of reality, waiting to be charged with violations of the order. So much totalitarian style fakery. How did we get here? Mike was making this point in an earlier thread, but I was just thinking about it.

I sometimes introduce these things with an OT, but in truth, I think of everything here as parts of the same larger topic, the darkening of the horizon. And it is frustrating that we are surrounded with so many low class minds among our brethren.
John Lennon once said, "Instant Karma's gonna get you." I think antisemitism is gonna get my friends sooner or later and they are currently too stupid to notice.

In the Caroline Glick article I linked to above, she mentions the JDCA and their Trump/Hitler ad. I wrote a scathing email to them. I'm wondering if anyone else did the same. I think they are scum for producing such an ad which is clearly not true and dishonors the memory of WWII and the Holocaust - absolutely horrific events of the 20th Century. It's just scuzzy. If you think about the ad and the chutzpah behind it, you'll realize how far gone, radical, and teetering on the edge, and destabilizing the politics of the American Left has become and especially upset that people will vote for this. Like turkeys voting for Thanksgiving.

    1. FWIW, there is a legal question involving the Federal Tort Claims Act and its scope. Courts have accepted that the president is within it. Carroll is testing that theory. Parties wrangling in court over legal issues to gain an advantage and to win. So terrible.

If the court decides in Trump's favor, will that be accepted by you? The election was not accepted, was it? Why should this be any different? It's a drag when people demand what they are not willing to give.

Predictable this story would trigger you. After the news of Hiden Biden's corruption and lies, combined with his racism and actual slurs, something is needed for relief. The bigger question is, however, how does it feel to represent these Biden values and the party of illiberal ideas and acts?

    3. I don't represent Biden at all. He's a worthless SOB. But so is Trump. And therein lies the clusterfuck. It's already here, and it's been developing over several decades. And it's bipartisan.

Between the two SOBs, I'm leaning Biden, but I wouldn't dream of advising anyone else which way to vote. If you lean Trump, that's OK.

Biden has been in the middle of it for almost 50 years. Trump's the outsider, only been in DC since 2017. That is fact. Not to mention the Establishment on both sides is clearly against him for exposing the very mess you cite. They even tried to subvert his presidency. Imagine that. The resistance exacerbated matters. Should Trump just roll over? We now see that Biden is a corrupt liar and overt racist. Which is why your animosity is perhaps misdirected.

    5. Yes, oldschooltwentysix, I have never seen anything quite like it in my life, at least not in the United States. A staggering amount of corruption and a coup. And an incredible number of the electorate simply following orders.

Thursdays "debate" should prove uninteresting. The moderator, another Democrat, has picked Democrat issues for discussion. And they have got their little mute button, because, g_d forbid, the candidates get into an actual issue in depth. Nothing says "campus safe space" like a mute button. Control, control, control. For the radical left nothing says "freedom" as much as the freedom to shut people up.

  7. Obama goes to Philly to set us straight on what it means to be a good human being.

Who cares if he is America's primary flim flam man, race hustler,anti-Constitutionalist, and an example of how you get from average means to mega-rich through a career in public service (Biden runs a good second)? He is the reason there is Trump.

Stop lecturing Obama, the most unpresidential ex-president. Not only a fake from the start, a composite (read Garrow's biography), but full of hubristic ideas that are boneheaded, divisive, and wrong.

That does not include that he spied on Americans, including Trump, certain media, religious groups and the Tea Party, all done in front of the fawning, sycophant mainstream media that acts like political operatives and puts forth information 95% negative toward Trump.

Trump may have his faults, but Democrats have been had by Obama and his performance art.

    1. Well said. When I saw the press yesterday asking Biden about his milk shakes, rather than his son's lap top, I thought to myself, "where have I seen this before?" Then it all came back, from 2009-2017, CNN panels full of talking heads practicing Politik Beschreibung, discussing the Obama Administration in the most anodyne way possible.
