She was so great. Sad news.
I was never a big fan, but when I was a child we had the Odd Couple, which I watched. When I was a teenager we had Laverne & Shirley, which I did not. But she was part of my childhood... me and millions of others. It's a bit heartbreaking.
And there is something more, but I cannot quite put my finger on it. She was from the Bronx, as was my mom.
When a famous Jewish celebrity dies, does that make you think about the afterlife?
She wasn't Jewish. Italian.
Holy shit! All these years, I thought that she was Jewish!LOL.Not that it really matters, but I always assumed that she was Jewish. This reminds me a bit of when I first learned that Valerie Harper, of Rhoda-fame, was Italian. That's OK. It does not change anything, but why did so many of us assume that she was Jewish?I suppose it goes to the close shoulder-by-shoulder relations between Jews and Italians in New York and in the entertainment industry.
She was married to Rob Reiner for a time. On their first date he also thought she was Jewish.
No kidding! I love it!Ah-ha-ha-ha!!!!
Some claimed that she was not pretty.I found her beautiful.
