Today the UN will vote on who gets one of the temporary security council seats. Canada is running against Ireland and Norway. I'm a little biased for Canada since I live here and, for the most part, Canada has been supportive of Israel. Ireland and Norway have not been. Hopefully, if Canada wins, it will not turn anti-Israel.
Canada loses; Ireland and Norway win. The UN remains mostly antisemitic.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences. And Geoff is right about the UN. Whatever it's intended purpose was has largely gone by the wayside. It is a place where dictators and other international dreck go to vote.
DeleteSo sad. Which of those pro Nazi bottom feeding fish tank countries won?
ReplyDelete.
I like Canada. Except the French bit which reminded me too much of...well..France.
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteHas Trump kicked it out of New York yet?
ReplyDeleteWay past time. A big slab of aluable real estate going to a fate worse than waste there.
The more I see of this President the more I like him. I just love the way he gets up the nose of the mouth frothing lefties.
You betcha. But all forces are arrayed against him. The latest being the phony genocide of black people by police. Police are not necessarily the friendliest blokes in the world - I've had some bad experiences with a few, (one of them life threatening), but they are getting a bad rap here. It's nonsense. The numbers do not support the hype. Police brutality is real enough and no one is immune, but the media, BLM, the Dems, et al, are not going to show you film of white people getting screwed by police. So when we talk about reform, sure the police, the government, the courts, and everything else could use reform, but right now nothing needs reform as much as the MSM. They are pushing this nonsense. They could be honest, fair, and truthful about this "issue," and calm the public by showing an honest picture, but have not and will not. And that's why a majority are now buying into it. Instead they're revving up the hysteria. It breaks my heart that there are so many young black people who actually believe the biggest threat to their lives when they leave home is a police officer. The people who put these stupid ideas into their heads should have to pay, but instead they are thriving. Things aren't looking good for liberal democracy at the moment.
DeleteAnd of course the reason for the hyping racial tensions has a name in this country. It is called a "Presidential Election Year."
Right on brother!
DeleteI've the odd brush or two with the Pigs myself. Their PR Department has the worst job on the planet.
But this is about something entirely different.
Some wit pointed out that if you are going to cancel everything with a racist past, the Democratic party needs to be abolished. I say bring it on and yer Aunt Jemima too.
ReplyDeleteBLM doesn't have a long past, but it has a racist one. Cancel.
DeleteNancy Pelosi has gone to remove statues. Sure. Call them confederates. They were all Democrats. Nancy is trying to erase her predecessors past and therefore, that of her and her party. It's the old totalitarian move, to try and erase the past. Makes it all the more easy to mislead the rubes in the short term.
DeleteMaybe her analysis took form during a lifetime of never having to face any deep seeded oppression. We know that stupidity in elite circles finds its way down to the street. This idiot woman, Handler, is apparently unable to think past the present moment. "We know now that oppression of one race leads to an oppression of all races." Do we? Will she explain her own oppression?
ReplyDeleteOne of those pesky Canadians says:

Jordan Peterson rocks. "They were unrepentant Marxists." Freaking nails it.

ReplyDeleteFrom my iPhone's news feed to you. This is what some liberal news outlets think it's important for you to know:
LA Times
Opinion: That Trump ad with Nazi imagery on Facebook? It proves conservatives wrong about content removal
(my comment: are you fucking kidding me?!!!)
LA Times Letters to the Editor
Trump's religious supporters aren't evangelicals; they're Christian nationalists
(My comment: really? Even the Jews? Mainstream newspapers like the LA Times et al are sounding more and more like the Socialist rags activists used to try to sell me when I was on line waiting to get into a movie theater.)
LA Times
Column: 'Bad idea' doesn't begin to describe Trump's Tulsa rally
CNN politics
Trump threatens protesters ahead of Tulsa rally
CNN politics
The past catches up to Trump
CNN
How risky is it to attend a Trump campaign rally during a pandemic?
NBC News
Outside Trump's Tulsa rally site, few face masks and no social distancing
And that's it for tonight folks! No big articles about burnt and looted business due to mostly peaceful protests with no COVID-19 spread at all. Nothing to worry about there. Nothing about LA Synagoues with mostly peaceful antisemitic graffiti or what a great guy Louis Farrakhan is in the eyes of Chelsea Handler. This is what happens when you send children to school but don't teach them history.
AND I launched fb a while ago and first thing fb wanted to know if I would like to work with them to, in their words, amplify black voices. WTF is this?!! IS that Facebook's job? I don't think so. Break them up, get rid of their exemption. Do it now. Put a warning from the Surgeon General on the screen.
Once again, in case it didn't sink in: "content removal"
DeleteThe so-called protestors, tearing down statues of Washington and Grant, among others, and causing corporate America, the media, sports, education, and entertainment to kneel in homage, is the American Taliban.
ReplyDeleteThe Museum of Natural History is going to take down the statue of TR flanked by a black man and a native American because it portrays a "racial hierarchy." I guess that's one way to look at it, if you wish to see it that way, as various sadists and masochists do. I think if it was of Obama with his trusty sidekick, Tonto Biden, at his side and slightly in the background, there would be no problem.
ReplyDeleteFrom the NYT:
"The decision, proposed by the museum and agreed to by New York City, which owns the building and property, came after years of objections from activists and at a time when the killing of George Floyd has initiated an urgent nationwide conversation about racism."
It hasn't even been established that the killing of Mr. Floyd, a career criminal - and a violent one at that - was racially motivated at all. Not saying it wasn't, but no such thing has been established by any investigation into the matter that I know of (two of the officer were not white), but now that we are all Arabs a certain poetry of the desert has replaced facts.
I see nothing so wrong with the statue that would require its removal. Just because malcontents have been known to protest its existence doesn't make removing it the right, or wise thing to do. I wouldn't care if TR was flanked by a rabbi and an Irish priest, or if they walked into a bar...
And don't tell me that Jews and Irish weren't looked down upon by the Anglo Saxon world.
Way too much theorization and not enough observation goin' on here. Here's a much-needed antidote.

It looks like many 'progressive' cities are going to defund police departments. They say we should "re-imagine" policing, etc.
ReplyDeleteBut to make this nonsense jive with reality, I think we must re-imagine assault, rape, robbery, theft, burglary, murder, and orthodox Jews in places like Brooklyn will need to re-imagine themselves elsewhere.
It's kind of funny that we have all this great technology that allows us access to images anywhere in the country or around the globe almost instantly, yet those broadcasting from these mega media outfits can't tell us that after Ferguson 59% of blacks and hispanics wanted the police to spend more time in their communities, not less.
Ya know, I'm beginning to think that maybe the Democrats are pandering. :0)
The new Ami Horowitz short show exactly that, and how ignorant most progressives are when it comes reality, in this case the police.
