Israel and what the Obama contingent stands for

Interesting to see Obama's former best friend, Erdogan, reveal once again his fascist, Jew hating heart. Taking away his "Profile in Courage" award would be poetic justice.

And why is Obama trying to use the Hamas framework for an agreement?

Has he, or Kerry, ever imagined that interference can also make things worse?

And why is Obama tying funding for Iron Dome to the US border funding measure?

And why not speaking out over the wave of antisemitism in Europe?

Just what does Obama stand for? All he seems to do these days is attend functions where the audience nods in full appreciation as he spreads negativity about those who don't agree with him. He is in a bubble of adulation. When offered the opportunity to speak strongly about world conflict, he equivocates. Many are confused and many are emboldened.

Democrats increasingly do not like Israel. Far too many secular Jews, besides their overall ignorance and indifference, let their bleeding hearts reject the Jewish "Zionist" narrative, the one that is factual and based on the very liberal principles they claim to follow. Instead, they fall for the fake orientalist version where Arabs reject ANY responsibility for their fate. It is ALL the fault of the white West, as the situation deteriorates. What a canard.

Will these secular Jews ever wake up to the fact that even as they reject the Jewish religion, they will remain targeted just because they are Jews? It takes little energy for the tyranny of the majority to show its true self when it comes to Jews. Israel and Zionism and settlements are merely subterfuge for their intentions. When will they see that the people they listen to present an incomplete story that cannot see the difference between aggression and the response thereto?

I wonder what progressives have to say about this ignorance and apathy of support among them for Israel, and America, in favor of the most illiberal type of forces on Earth. Why is this growing among them and whether/how it should be confronted?

As the USA evacuates Libya, one of Obama's greatest disasters, the odd approach the Administration adopts, whether it interferes or withdraws, seems to contribute to every situation growing worse.

Yes, I miss the 90s.

I do not want to debate anyone of the virtues, or lack thereof, of the Clinton administration, but I was comfortable with his presidency at the time.  I certainly did not think that he was perfect, but after 12 years of Reagan / Bush his administration seemed like a step in the right direction... at least to me.

The real problem is that Israel has not committed enough war crimes.

I think Israel needs to commit more war crimes.

Of course, Israel committed war crimes.  That's what Jews do.  We love to kill perfectly innocent, bunny-like Arabs and eat them for lunch.

This is because we are evil.

Look, I am going to come clean, guys.  The Jews are evil and we revel in blood-letting, just like so many Arabs and so many western-progressives tell us that we do.  I think that at this point we might as well just embrace the identity of vicious thugs and murderers... or, even a transcendent form of evil... which could represent terrific metaphysical fun!  They are going to consider us vicious thugs and murderers, anyway, for daring to actually strike back against thousands of Kassams and Katyushas thrown at Israel from Gaza ever since 2005, so we might as well roll with it.

Besides, who wants a weak and compliant ghetto Jew reputation?  The Israelis intentionally left that behind in 1948.  While much of the rest of the world - such as the useful idiots on Daily Kos - prefer their Jews weak, timid, ashamed, and guilt-ridden, I prefer my Jews strong, bold, unashamed and ready to fight back when necessary.

It has been thirteen or fourteen years of more or less continuous rocket fire into the south of Israel and, believe me, your friends on the left could hardly care less.  They don't care.  If they cared at some point a few of them might have looked up from Al Jazeera or the Huffington Post to suggest that maybe trying to kill random Jews is not such a good thing.

Of course, they never did say that.

They were silent as Jewish families lives were being ruined, their small town economies being wrecked, and their children actually being raised with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - as it is quite possible that Dana Bar-on and her siblings have on the Nir Am kibbutz just outside of Gaza - but at no point did the non-Jewish left object.  They simply do not care about Muslim on Jewish violence, because they honestly think that we deserve whatever beating we get.  They only care about Jewish on Muslim violence.

It is a matter of traditional values, really.  Arabs, and those of European descent, are, as a group, not the least bit comfortable with the idea of Jews fighting back.  This much is obvious.  It is not as if they have any humanitarian principles - and that goes four-fold for the Arabs - because if they did they might have shown some concern for 5.5 million dead Congolese over the last ten years, or thereabouts, but they did not.

They don't much care about the hundreds of thousands dead in Syria.  They don't much care about the Sudanese genocide.  Nor do they care about the Chinese in Tibet, nor the local Arabs who have been locked up in camps in Syria and Lebanon and G-d only knows where.

What they care about is Jewish self-defense, which is simply considered unacceptable because it flies in the face of time-honored tradition.  What they don't like are Israeli Jews, in particular, because it is the IDF that allows Jewish people throughout the world a measure of freedom to resist their persecutors and a place to escape to when those persecutors get out of hand, which history has shown repeatedly that they have a tendency to do.

So, yes, we need more war crimes.

We need as many war crimes as it takes to free the people of Gaza from this murderous regime that sticks babies in front of bombs so that if Israel dares to strike those bombs the western-left can drag out the blood libel and tell the world that Jews "Zionists" are baby killers.

Look, we've been through this before many times.

No matter what we do they will think that we are evil.  If Israel is the first country on the ground after the Haitian earthquake even westerners will tell one another that it's a whitewash and that all we want is to deflect from Jewish immorality toward the "indigenous" population in the Land of Israel.  Either that or Swedish newspapers will tell the world that Jews are murdering Arabs to harvest their organs and people will discuss among themselves whether or not that was what Israel was doing in Haiti.

I say that world opinion can go fuck itself.

Israel needs to eliminate Hamas and I do not care how many people scream from the roof-tops, "War Crimes!  War Crimes!  War Crimes!"

Again, round up the leadership and put them on trial for incitement to genocide after declaring Hamas an illegal organization and eliminating its ability to function.

If the people of Gaza do not want this kind of misery then I very much recommend that next time that they go to the polls - if there ever is a next time - that they might ponder the notion of a liberal democratic form of government that is more interested in creating jobs than in killing Jews.

Philly stands with Israel

Our Israel solidarity rally here in Philadelphia yesterday afternoon, which drew 2,500 people to LOVE Park, was a huge success and a great time.  And a helpful, much needed reminder to people like me who sometimes spend more time than we should in dark, hate-filled corners of the internet, that the antisemites at places like Daily Kos are truly a tiny, though loud and vicious, minority in our society, and that Americans continue to stand with Israel, as she seeks to end the current terror launched on her by a genocidal terrorist organization which hides behind its women and children, stores missiles in schools and uses ambulances to transport its 'brave' fighters.

Professor Kedar did NOT call for Rape

Over at Daily Kos they went completely nuts because they totally misunderstood Kedar's points of view concerning how to stop suicide bombers within a "diary," written by "SaraBeth" entitled, Israeli Professor Suggests Rape as 'Terror Deterrent'.

Professor Kedar suggested no such thing; it is not even close.

Needless to say, of course, many used it as an opportunity to defame the Israelis as the most horrible human beings who have ever lived... but that is what they do on a daily basis, anyway.

In any case, this is what he says directly:

I have certainly never called for and never will call for or recommend to any nation – and certainly not to my beloved Israel – to use rape to deal with any problem, security or otherwise. Every state in the world must adhere to the rules of  law and ethics according to the accepted international accords and international law.

And, as it turns out, I was correct that it was concerned with the honor-shame thesis of Arab societies.

They owe this guy an apology beeg time, but it will never be forthcoming.

I very much doubt that the original diarist has the slightest clue about what the professor was actually talking about.

So, you would punish MEN by raping their WOMEN? That it is a good "deterrent"? That it is the way it works in your part of the world? It is not enough for Professor Kedar to bomb the hell out of women and children.   However gratifying that may be to Jews the world over, he needs to violate their bodies and minds, as well.

Strictly for the hell of it.

You know, I do not believe in transcendent evil, but if there was such a thing this is pretty much what it would look like.

Defamation is evil.  Defamation packaged in the self-righteous language of human rights is both evil and nauseating.

Defamation of an individual, that leads to the defamation of a besieged minority group, is evil.

Defamation of an individual, that leads to the defamation of a besieged minority group, and thus to violence against members of that group, is the worst kind of evil and ultimately that is what this... person... is doing.

And she honestly believes that we are committing a "Holocaust" against the local Arabs.

I would call the woman shameless if the "diary" itself was not grounded in such unspeakably high-strung stupidity.
