Islamic State head: ‘Palestine will be graveyard’ for Jews

Michael L.

The Times of Israel tells us:
handsThe leader of the Islamic State terrorist group, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, issued Saturday an explicit threat against Israel, the first such indication from the organization’s head that the Jewish state was on his agenda.

In an audio recording released on social media, al-Baghdadi warned that his forces will “soon meet [the Jews] in Palestine,” Israel’s Channel 2 television reported.

The terrorist group’s elusive head added that “Israel will pay a heavy price at the hands of our fighters,” the report said.

“Palestine will not be your land or your home,” al-Baghdadi continued, according to the Ynet news site. “It will be a graveyard for you. Allah has gathered you in Palestine so that the Muslims may kill you.”  (Emphasis added.)
So, what do you do with this?

If there is one thing that Jewish people have learned from the last century it is that when savages call for Jewish blood they must be taken seriously.

This is a direct and explicit threat of genocide against the Jewish people within living memory of the Holocaust from a highly significant enemy.

Furthermore, we know who these people are. They are the ones who chop the heads off of Christians, burn down churches, bury Yazidis alive, rape young non-Muslim women and sell them into slavery, and destroy antiquities as we recently saw in Palmyra in order to wreck human heritage and history.

Our birthright.

But what can we do?

One thing that Israel can do, of course, is send the Israeli Air Force (IAF) over the lands in Syria and Iraq controlled by these heinous maniacs and carpet-bomb them into their joyous "paradise" where each can go forth and rape 72 virgins.

{Oh, Joy.}

Of course, if Israel were to do any such thing, the western world - and, yes, particularly the western-left - would scream from the rafters about Israeli genocide and apartheid and racism and colonialism and imperialism and whatever else they can find to fling at the Jewish people seeking to defend themselves and their children.

What I think is that Israel should, on the highest levels, go directly to the EU and the US and tell them that if they will not deal with these monsters, then Israel will.

Needless to say, this will not happen because it is not politically expedient. Instead, Israel will continue to allow itself to be pushed around by the Europeans and the Obama administration, rather than doing what is necessary to defend its own people.

The Islamic State cannot even muster an air campaign, yet the western world frets and worries and navel-gazes as people are burned alive in cages and as homosexuals are flung from roof-tops.

If Israel waits for the West to honestly deal with political Islam, it will wait forever.

If it acts unilaterally in a decisive manner, it will be condemned from all quarters.

So, you tell me.

  1. In this instance Israel is on its own. The west will never come to the Jews' assistance if attacked by ISIS. In fact if anything. the UN, EU and Obama would use this as an excuse to help the 'palestinians' and to sponsor ISIS at the UN as a near-bona-fide state. But the odds are a Hamas-ISIS partnership is just as likely to blow up in their own faces. Of course that will be blamed on the Jews as well so Hamas may actually look forward to a civil war with ISIS in Gaza.

There's a shelf full of pre written Goldstone reports on this ready to be pulled down and quoted by the New York Times so Israel may as well do whatever it needs to do and damn the so called political consequences.

  2. You might want to check out http://smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/art/defeating-the-abu-bakr-al-baghdadi-gang-a-realistic-strategy for a more thought-out strategy. For one thing, your suggestion does nothing to leave behind a functioning, extremist-resistant community after eliminating the Baghdadi Gangsters with the result that it would just be a matter of time until another comparable threat takes root there. To paraphrase/quote Douglas Lovelace from his introduction to Reconstructing Iraq, without planning for the aftermath, the success of operations will be ephemeral and the problems they are designed to eliminate could return or be replaced with other or more virulent difficulties.

    1. Sar Shalom,

"For one thing, your suggestion does nothing to leave behind a functioning, extremist-resistant community after eliminating the Baghdadi Gangsters with the result that it would just be a matter of time until another comparable threat takes root there."

I am not opposed to strategizing the post-ISIS situation, but we cannot allow the fear of the group that might replace ISIS to prevent Israel and/or the West from eliminating these vicious maniacs.

Can you imagine if before the US got involved in WWII American politicians told one another that we cannot fight and defeat the Nazis because something even worse would likely emerge?

We must not use this concern as an excuse to do next to nothing, even as young prebuscent non-Muslim girls are sold into sexual slavery by these horrendous scum.

I can think of no organization since the Khmer Rouge more worthy of elimination.

    2. With regards to the fight against the Third Reich, planning for the post-Reich era was actually a substantial part of the war planning.

If you would look at the article I linked to, you would figure out that my complaint was not about taking action to remove the crusading thugs from Syria. Rather, it is to the simplistic approach to action and a call for smarter strategy.

    3. Sar Shalom,

I understand that the Allies had a post-war strategy which included little things like the Marshall Plan.

The purpose of the war, as you understand, was not to implement the Marshall Plan.

The purpose of the war was to eliminate the Nazis.

Whether the Europeans accepted the Marshall Plan or rejected it, that was not the primary concern. The primary concern was eliminating Nazism as a viable political movement by any means necessary.

The West can ponder how to deal with a post-ISIS Middle East all they want, but the chances are none of it will turn the Arab-Muslim world into anything that resembles human decency.

Our obligation is not to them, but to ourselves.

    4. First, have you looked at the article?

There is absolutely nothing in it questioning the need to eradicate the thugs. The only issue is how to do so and to make sure that the means of doing so do not create the conditions for a similar threat to emerge in the future.

I'll have more on the article forthcoming.

  3. A threat against Israel is simply a jihadist organizational right of passage thing. It's like their bar mitzvah. This has been going on for a long time. Each self-proclaimed jihadist, revolutionary, or what have you, organization eventually appeals to its would-be followers by throwing in the "zionist-entity" card. A second purpose for this is to confound the West and any of its possible Arab allies by introducing the Jews and the Arab street's hatred for us into the picture. The old, "be careful about giving us the pulverizing we deserve, because Arabs will get even angrier because we told them we intend to liberate Palestine, i.e., kill the Jews."

I think you are right about the West's navel gazing. If we were serious, ISIS would be over already, and we'd be onto the next nascent movement ready to hold the world hostage.

    1. And the thing of it is, I have no doubt that either Israel working alone or the US Marine Corps, doing the same, could take these miserable bastards out within a very short period of time if there was the political will to do so.

      Unfortunately, there is not.

And remember, I am someone who marched over a dozen times against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
