Not A Taint Of It In The Democratic Party

Doodad

Says Nancy Pelosi. The taint of which she speaks is antisemitism. Who can blame her for lying? Trump is pushing the notion and it could cost Dems big time in 2020. But lying she is.

First we have the Hamas caucus in Congress: Omar and her cohorts. They support BDS which aims to destroy the only Jewish State. Can't get more antisemitic than that. And let's remember that only 27% of Democrats support Israel over Palestine so there are bound to be lots more closet BDS'ers in the mix. And of course, almost all Dems fall head over heels defending Omar from accusations of antisemitism despite all the evidence against her.

Then we have the Farrakhan Caucus aka the Congressional Black  Caucus. Almost all members of that caucus have refused to denounce Farrakhan despite his vile Jew hatred. Indeed, many have embraced him along withthe excuse that he has done much for the black community. Yes, like whipping up Jew hatred among them. Surveys show black antisemitism is higher among blacks than the national average (23 to 14 percent)

The big tent nature of the Democratic party almost insures antisemitism and Dems can't afford to alienate their base. Therefore they will ignore their antisemitism at their peril; much like the UK Labour party. Rest assured Trump will run with this leading up to 2020 and Dem denials will only go so far.

  1. Doodad,
I think that's Congressional Black Caucus. Either way the embrace of Farrakhan and the Caucus members' defense of having relationships with "the Brotha" don't wash. It is a step too far in the exalted claim to victimhood as step ladder to power.

Outside that 27% of Dems, I believe there is a majority who would swing Israel's way were they ever to get good information. They have been fed propaganda, and the Obama Administration did much to further the Palestinian victim/Israel as "white" oppressor narrative, and that "Palestine, historical land of the Palestinian people" canard. Many no longer realize that Arabs simply covet the land as Arab, and the 'palestinian' narrative as a cover story and rational for Arab hegemonic ambitions. I am saying that I think the hard core anti-Israel brigades are still a minority. But at this point there is a lot of damage to undo concerning just people's general knowledge. But I think the majority of the party is temperamentally far more moderate than the social media types wagging the dog. Social media allows totalitarians to do the same thing they have always done especially once in power - fool the people most of time.
And they have gone a substantial distance to turning the Democratic Party into an antisemitic party - a terrible fate the US, unlike Europe, has been able to resist for over 200 years. It's something that is not consistent with America's founding and is part of an effort by some to undo that founding through the decontextualization of American (and World) History. It parallels left wing story telling about Israel as racist apartheid goliath oppressor of "indigenous" people rather than the Arab/Muslim hegenomic, supremacist desire to subsume Israel under the Arab/Muslim mantel downgrading the rights of Jews and relegating them to the past as a powerless and servile minority to their masters.

  2. Thanks, Jeff, fixed. You are right about the majority probably being Israel friendly but if Bibi does what he says he is going to, where will they go? Most are 2 state advocates and hate Bibi like mini-Trump. I see tough times ahead.

    1. I think you're right. It took me while to sour on the two state solution until it came home to me that it is really the final solution. Given a state the Arabs would most likely never give up trying to eradicate Israel. Their own actions and rhetoric past and present indicate they would simply turn up the heat. Never trust a plan for Jews with the word solution in it. The call for a "Palestinian" state is now what it always was intended as, a call for the eradication of Israel. Rabin was never prepared to hand statehood in the middle of Israel over to a bunch of terrorists. Historically there has never been such a state or people, and there exist many entities in the world which are less than states where people have human rights and political rights - limited only in that they are not sovereign entities, i.e., states.

  3. I don't think Democrat party is redeemable any longer. We are now seeing university products of over a decade ago becoming prominent in politics, and it's not pretty.
But that's nothing compared to the current college environment, which might as well be Hitlerjugend.

  6. The Yankees and the Flyers have stopped using Kate Smith's recording of God Bless America because they "discovered," 2 racist songs she performed in the 30's. Like the confederate statues issue, I can't help but see the ghost of Communist purges here.

Neo-Neocon posted a quote by Kundera from his his Book of Laughter and Forgetting which I found apropos to this situation:

"…human beings have always aspired to an idyll, a garden where nightingales sing, a realm of harmony where the world does not rise up as a stranger against man nor man against other men, where the world and all its people are molded from a single stock and the fire lighting up the heavens is the fire burning in the hearts of men, where every man is a note in a magnificent Bach fugue and anyone who refuses his note is a mere black dot, useless and meaningless, easily caught and squashed between the fingers like an insect.”

How many more black dots are going to be squashed like insects before this madness subsides; assuming it ever does?

    3. From the Daily News:
"As the Daily News learned, the Yankees were made aware of Smith’s history of potential racism."
Is that akin to the "implicit racism" all around us today?

"“That’s Why Darkies Were Born,” in particular, because it was considered satire at the time and recorded with African-American artist Paul Robeson."

      and,
"Still, her shocking lyrics from 1939 are neither humorous nor ironic in 2019"

      Is anything?

Disclosure: I've never been a Kate Smith fan. I'm a musician.

Here we are wondering what Kate Smith's sentiments were about black people (my word) in 1936. We know what MLB's sentiments were. Perhaps baseball should be banned. Maybe Kate was a Jew hater too, although she didn't mind singing an Irving Berlin song. Will any of them be giving away a Ford automobile in a promotion this season?

In other news, the large number of Yankees are on the Illinois. Aaron Judge went on today, while catcher Gary Sanchez comes of the Illinois today.

Fortunately for us they somehow missed her.

In other news, after getting close to being nominated for president by hijacking a party he doesn't belong to, Bernie Sanders corrects the deficiencies in his past campaign rhetoric and is ready to call anyone and everyone a racist in his bid to win the presidency and realize his dream of a more Marxist America.

    1. Again, they have nothing to run on.
Guess who I'm not voting for.
It really is the world upside down. Biden was Obama's vice president. We are being required to think of Barack Obama as a friend to Israel and Trump as an antisemite. But Trump has made the two strongest statements against antisemitism I have ever heard from a sitting President. And Trump has made incredibly pro-Israel moves as President, and the earth is still spinning on its axis despite warnings from the "experts." He's not pro-Israel in that J-Street let's destroy the country for some mock moral victory over common sense sort of way, because we're so smart we're stupid. Some Jewish people want to believe in Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, and the tooth fairy.
Lefty Jew haters like the PLO's phased plan because it has stages, like Marxist dogma. The last stage is the "Palestinian State" replacing Israel. This is parallel to finally realizing true Communism to them, bless their little hearts.

    2. Don't get the inability to see through the charade. How many times can "smart" people be fooled? At this stage, few would speak out in the toxicity of their environment, against the failure of the policies. They have helped Putin far more than Trump. And there's the rub. Bad as Trump can be, they are worse because they are pretenders. They could care less about so many of the lofty matters they profess.

As for the antisemites among us, to claim that right wing is the primary threat is another instance of failure to appreciate reality. Left wing antisemitism is far more pronounced among people in power. All Jews suffer when it permeates society, even the Jews that practice it. Playing the Nazi outrage game is just that, a game, a ruse, and it protects the Jew haters among them.

    3. I'm not sure what all the righteous fuss about Putin and collusion is. Most people fuming at the mouth about it can't point Russia on the map (ex: Maxine Waters: Corea/Crimea).
No one even remotely explained what is it that Putin allegedly got from Trump (did he lift sanctions, gave up Alaska, paid him billions in tribute, what?).
Then there is "Putin is an antisemite" accusation. Maybe he is, but in the whole of recorded history of Russia there has never been a dictator friendlier to Jews and Israel.
I also see a lot "comrade" name calling. Particularly laughable, since Russia has not been a communist country for a generation, which is more than what you can say about the Democrats.

But will the media protect him this time around? It's just too early to tell. Bernie doesn't need to pretend he is someone else, and then there are the intersectionals. (If I woke up one morning and found out I was Bernie, I'd wear a disguise.) Maybe the Dems will introduce a constitutional amendment whereby all 20 of them can get the nomination and rule the country in a junta-like arrangement. 14. Radical Farrakhan-nists and Fee-Palestine bigots:
Do Brown Black Lives matter...if they're Israelis?

    BLACK, BROWN, WHITE, YELLOW ISRAELIS

Since color has become a language somehow, and anti Israel bigots distort, then let's remind, most Israelis are "brown," in terms of stats. You have also many Ethiopian Jews.

No wonder the propagandists will never show democratic multiracial Israel in day to day lives.

Or elaborate on anti-black racism in the Goliath Arab world. Though all non Arabs have been through racism in that world.

    SECURITY VS RACISTS

But of course Israeli security concerns are just that. Unrelated to any "color" or "race." Actually, speaking of racism, yes, Arab Muslim attackers target only Jews. Talk about real racism.

    BACKGROUND ON HIJACKING TERMINOLOGY

True, hijacking of term 'it's racism," is as old as Palestine propaganda emerged by holocaust denier Issa Nakhleh who began in June-17-1949 the "like the Nazis and worse than nazis" line (and by Nov-14-1972 said all 6,000,000 were alive and Hitler "didn't" kill, and represented 'Muslim Congress' at Holocaust deniers convention in 1981), then picked up in 1960 by Nazi Tacuara saluter Ahmad Shukairy who by Oct-17-1961 added that garbage-touch apartheid slur too and questioned Catholic Uruguayan rep. Enrique Fabregat's loyalty, stating because he's (supposedly) a Jew. And both, of course were Hitler's ally ex-mufti Islamic leader al-Husseini avid fans. With Shukairy his aide.

Speaking of ex Mufti's admirers... Sufi Abdul Hamid, infamous 'Black Hitler' in NY who called to drive out Italians and Jews in the 1929-30, was also his admirer.

    RE FARAKHANNISTS & FAKE "PRO-"

One might begin to argue there is such a thing as "pro Palestine", (only) when Farrakhan linked Ilhan Omar / Linda Sarsour / Rashida Tlaib will have a routine of decrying Arab Muslim suffering when it's not in context of Israel (who has been facing existential threat ever since) but suffering when by Arab Muslim entities. One would then hear about a real en-masse massacre. Such as hundreds of thousands in Syria, current example. And if they begin to do anything along the line, then no lip service please. But with that same "passion" as in fake "sympathy" played at the 'other' case.

The absentee reason is clear. Self explanatory. Because pro Palestine is a cover for anti Israel and often anti ALL Jews.

A note re L Farrakhan, that guy with his "blue eyes are the devil," when he uttered his "termites" venom, his genocidal hint was clear under the veil. For more about Dehumanization in radical Islamic Arab or even mainstream racist "Palestinian" education and sermons, search for "apes and pigs, Palestinians". Or see PalWatch and MEMRI.
