  1. 3 sentences into his address to Congress, trump addresses recent antisemitism/vandalism. Good for him.

  2. For the most part, Dems understandably and as expected stayed seated and didn't clap; they are the opposition after all. BUT, some did stand and clap or just clapped for certain things said; a good sign. I saw Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Saunders clapping and a whole bunch of white dressed Dems rose and clapped when Trump spoke about standing up for Law Enforcement. All in all not too bad a showing for Dems.

    1. It seemed pathetic, their reaction, and they are marginalizing themselves.

No matter, Trump knocked it out of the park. He appears to be a very astute learner, and interested in all sides, despite the way he's painted.

The attacks will continue, as will the battle against the fake media, a long term issue.

    2. I must admit, the speech was quite good and made Trump seem very presidential. The Dems have a problem. But, you know, things can change relatively quickly if Trump doesn't deliver the goods. How would you like to a Democratic Party on the rise with the likes of Ellison and Sarsour? It would be frightening.

Mike, this might be less of a disappointment for you than you thought in your comment on the Sarsour thread about Ellison losing to Perez.

  5. after that black church getting burned and scrawled with "Vote Trump" by a black man to make Trump look bad, I'd bet there's a serious chance the vandalism against Jewish cemeteries is either leftist Jews or non-Jewish leftists who think we Jews don't "tikkun olam" enough, or think that only that would get media attention.

    1. Doodad,
Yes, I read Vic's thoughtful take on it shortly afterward and almost posted it here, but you beat me to it.

Here's Mark Steyn on the Trump, immigration in Sweden (and Europe), and the media. Defitinitely worth checking out.

    2. Thanks for the Steyn link Jeff. I like his take on the media because it has always been mine; they are the largest source of unregulated power in the world. I have always though they should be licensed like teachers, doctors, etc. Then you could rest easy you were getting more real news and less propagandizing.

  7. Both Vic and Brian suspect the media of playing up antisemitism as part of the more generalized anti-Trump agenda.

I think that we can be pretty comfortable in that conclusion.

  9. Another moronic British "artist," displays his hate for Jews.

    http://www.cufi.org.uk/news/does-banksys-new-the-walled-off-hotel-contain-anti-semitic-imagery/

"The most controversial art piece of them all, in our mind, is the picture of Jesus looking worried with a sniper’s red dot sight on his forehead.

Clearly the image is supposed to represent Jesus as a Palestinian, after all, this is a claim made by many Palestinian leadership. And the red dot on his forehead is undoubtedly depicted as being from an Israeli sniper rifle.

There are countless examples where anti-Semitic attacks have taken place on the false premise that “the Jews killed Jesus”. Too often we see this phrase being used by extremists to justify their hatred of the Jews. To depict Jesus being targeted by Israeli Jewish snipers, is dangerous to say the least."

Mother's milk for the English or learned behaviour?

    1. Bansky paints a blue-eyed Jesus he wants us to believe is a "Palestinian." Jesus was a Jew, born in a place called Judea, lived his whole life there. Bansky is just another a stupid, ignorant, antisemite. This sort of thing used to come in a decidedly German accent.
It's like that Irish post card depicting Joseph and a pregnant Mary trying to go to Bethlehem and being stopped by the IDF. But Joseph and Mary were Jews, and the Arabs would have shouted "Yahud " and put a bullet in her belly.

      OT
The Democrats, and the media's current campaign against Trump bears much in common with the campaign against Israel. The subtext is that they are trying to convict him of treason. I'm no longer a Democrat, because that's no place for a liberal boy like me. I still see Jews standing up for Obama, the ex-president who just won't leave. They should be ashamed of themselves.

    1. When I was a kid I had a real talent for drawing which my parents did everything to encourage. Eventually I decided to go a different way, but I can't imagine that if I'd continued that I would ever put that talent to the absolutely bigoted, retarded use that Bansky does. Imagine, using one's artistic abilities to denigrate using the mother of all slanders. What a disgusting little adolescent racist shit he is.
