  2. Jonathan S. Tobin is editor in chief of JNS:

When The New York Times decided to give the Democratic presidential candidates a chance to answer 18 policy questions in a video essay, the only one that touched on the Middle East went as follows:

“Do you think Israel meets inter-
    national standards of human rights?”

That question summed up the anti-Israel bias of the so-called newspaper of record as well as anything it has ever published.

Considering the scores of nations with egregious human-rights records and the presence in Israel’s immediate proximity to many of them, it speaks volumes about the obsessive nature of the paper’s prejudice that the only query it would ask about was the one country in the region that is a democracy and respects human rights.

Similarly, neo-Nazis in Germany have begun using the phrase “Israel is our misfortune,” a sentiment that converges with the German [Leftist] Green Party’s explicit support for BDS. The crossover between the two streams was seen recently when a founder of the Green Party spoke at a neo-Nazi event.

  8. Former prime minister Ehud Barak on Saturday announced the name of his new party — Democratic Israel . That's like what, 2000 parties in Israel? What do they think they are, Democratic Presidential candidates?

Israel really needs to overhaul its politics so one Party can achieve a majority and thus get stuff done. IMO anyway. Course maybe that's not what Israelis want I suppose.

  9. "Approximately 5,000 Palestinians rioted at three locations on the Israel-Gaza Strip border on Friday, hurling rocks, firebombs and explosive devices at IDF troops."

Over a year this crap has been going on. You know why, right? Because they don't fear Israel anymore. Few pay a price, and those that do get life time payments for themselves and/or their families.from their leaders. Ending it will require nastiness Israel is not prepared to engage in anymore. So it will never end.

    1. Dear Doodad,

Your quote is a good quote.

It would be more useful if it included source information, for example: Who said it? When? Where?

Also, I plead with you to avoid bad language, especially in public -- for example, this blog.

Most secular Jews consider bad language to be harmless; that is a big mistake!

To make a long story short, I have studied the topic of bad language, and I promise you that it causes greater harm than you can imagine.

      Sincerely,
      Mr. Cohen

This what all the peacemakers ignore. Destruction of all these types would free up secular "Palestinians," to make peace. Destruction or banishment. Destruction is better but the international community will go "boo hoo Israel bad."

Your right to open your mouth and show your bigotry is secure. What are you complaining about. BDS is discrimination, and is not entitled to the same right. It does represent the same hatred as you. Reminds of the same antipathy seen in places like Little Rock and Boston to integration.
