Say Hello to GrEaT sAtAn"S gIrLfRiEnD

Mike L.

Our friends come in all shapes and sizes.

I have to say, tho, that I love strong beautiful women who stand the hell up.

GrEaT sAtAn"S gIrLfRiEnD certainly does that.

She's kind of a chicklet, I suppose, but I am getting the very distinct impression that perhaps she should not be underestimated.

If young people actually care about social justice - a dubious proposition to begin with - then they need to stand with the tiny Jewish minority in the Middle East.

I am not familiar with GrEaT sAtAn"S gIrLfRiEnD but she's been around longer than we have.  Her blog goes all the way back to 2007 and it looks to me like she's been keeping it up on a regular basis.

People like Peter Beinart - a gentleman that supported the Iraq War, by the way - love to suggest that American Jewish youth are turning away from Israel on moral grounds.  This is total hogwash.  If diaspora Jewish youth are turning away from Israel it is not for moral reasons, but merely because Israel is not a big part of their lives to begin with.  Diaspora Jewish youth identify as American or Australian or British and, for the most part, do not think all that much about Israel, period.

It's not that they oppose Israel because Beinart doesn't like the security fence, but that they spend very little time thinking about Israel at all.  They are simply doing other things and living their lives.

Fortunately, we still have gutsy and smart young women who have the common sense and common decency to stand up against an obvious wrong.

This is just a brief little note to let you guys know that this woman is out there and standing strong.

What I say is that GrEaT sAtAn"S gIrLfRiEnD should go forth and kick ass.

  1. I have been reading her blog for quite a few years. She's great!

On another note I'm really disappointed with the NSA. My hard drive failed and they won't send me the back-up copy!!!! (little joke there...hehe)

    1. I take it you forgot to ring three times, hang up, call back, ring twice, hang up, call back and immediately punch in your ElderCard number after the ninth ring?

How many times do we have to go through this, Doodad?!

    2. I've never heard of this person before in my life and I think that I was too quick to dismiss her.

Now that I have scanned her writings I am still not entirely sure what to make of her stuff, but she's unquestionably a unique voice among pro-Israel bloggers and given her age she could emerge as a fairly influential blogger.

I do like her audacity, that's for sure.

    1. Welcome back, we hope you'll stop by regularly.

Though to clear up one thing. We're certainly all extremely cool, but as the youngest regular here, I must admit that even I haven't qualified as 'a cool kid' since probably the early 90s. So there's that.

      ;)

But welcome, regardless. Please blog kindly, and be gentle to the natives. Etc etc. The youth is our future!
