Fatah Denies Genocidal Facebook Post

Michael L.

The Times of Israel posts:
fatahThe political faction of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas distanced itself from an image of skulls adorned with Jewish stars posted on its official Facebook page.

The image, posted Wednesday on the Fatah Facebook page, also displays a rifle, the Fatah flag and the words “lingering on your skulls.” It was posted on the occasion of Fatah’s 50th anniversary.

A spokesman for Fatah told CNN on Friday that the group was not responsible for the image.
“Fatah did not design this image,” Mahmoud al-Aloul said, who added that the person who posted it “is currently being asked to remove it. The image and the text do not reflect the opinions of Fatah.”
So someone posted this heinous thing to the Fatah Facebook page, but it was not someone from the "political faction"?

It's fascinating how they always manage to diffuse responsibility.  So Fatah, like Hamas, has a "political faction" and a "non-political faction."  I presume that the non-political faction is the terrorist wing of the party.  But the political faction - or the "technocrats" as insidious State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki might say - are innocent of any malice toward Jews and fully condemn the behavior of some rogue element within Fatah.

Besides, they are asking him nicely to remove the thing and I imagine that he has complied.

The truth of the matter is that the charade is over.

If anyone still thinks that the Arabs are largely innocent in the long war against the Jews then they need to account for this image.  What many will likely say will be something along these lines:
Well, what do you expect from an indigenous minority persecuted on their own land?  The Palestinians have been ethnically-cleansed from Palestine and are doing whatever they can to fight off a racist, imperial, colonial, apartheid state that was forced down their throats.  So, naturally, they despise Israel and the image above is the foreseeable outcome of Israeli behavior.
In a nut-shell, this is the way that progressive-left enemies of the Jewish State, and thus the Jewish people, would frame their excuses for how it is that Arabs have every right to try to kill Jews in this generation.  In previous generations people had other reasons to justify hostility and violence toward Jews.  In this generation it is because we are allegedly mean to the "indigenous Palestinian population."

The problem with the popular notion above is that Arabs have been in the Jew Killing Business since long, long before the redemption of the Jewish people through the establishment of the Jewish State.

The Arabs have been in the Jew Killing Business since at least the time of Muhammad and they've been encouraging their children to stone Jews for millennia.

So long as the Europeans, the Obama administration, and the western-left continue to blame the Jews for never-ending Koranically-based Arab and Muslim aggression towards us, the Palestinian-Arabs will never stop trying to murder us because there is no down side to it.  Not only does their own society applaud efforts to murder innocent Jews, but even Israel's own alleged allies fully understand why Palestinian-Arabs seek to murder us.  This is why they will therefore continue to fund the Palestinian Authority and, even, Hamas, no matter how many times they screech for Jewish blood or how many times that they tell their people that running down Jewish babes in the streets of Jerusalem gives Allah orgasms.

As I say, the charade is over and anyone still yammering about a "peace process" is simply beyond delusional.

They say that you do not make peace with your friends, but with your enemies and I agree.

After your enemy has been thoroughly defeated you show it mercy by making peace.

It will never happen before then, however.

  1. Mahmoud Abbas needs to unfriend Fatah's armed terrorist faction. And not post on their walls for their birthdays, and / or in celebration of the anniversaries of their major terror attacks.

    Then it'll be all good.

  2. Even leaving aside Hamas for the moment, I'd note that when even the so-called "moderate peace partners" have an armed, genocidal terrorist faction as an integral part of their organization? Well, then those who defend same lose any right to ever call themselves "peace activists," "liberals," "progressives," or any other such thing.

  3. The so-called "Palestinian National Movement" has had genocidal intention toward the Jews from the very beginning. This merely confirms it.

Back in the good old days, prior to the rise of the PLO, the Palestinian-Arabs spoke very openly about "driving the Jews into the sea." Many of them still cry out for genocide from the mosques. But it was only when the Soviets started to advise Arafat that suddenly they starting yammering about "social justice" and "indigenous rights." They are, in fact, using the language of social justice in order to undermine social justice for the Jewish minority in the Middle East.

To their own people they speak of the need for the violent Jihad against "Occupation forces" - by which they mean every single Jews in Israel - while to the west they speak of social justice and indigenous rights.

It's a con and far, far too many well-meaning Jewish liberals have swallowed it whole. Any Jewish person who speaks of the "occupation" has bought into the fiction that we are usurpers on our own land.

I have to say, I have my reservations about Naftali Bennett, but it is very clear that of all the high-profile Israeli leadership he is the one least likely to buy into the nonsense.

Tzipi is among the most likely, I think.

That's why I harp on the issue of the eurocentric narrative so often. If the issue of Mizrahi Jews was more prominent, it would be harder to argue that the Jews being good little dhimmis constitutes an advancement of social justice. Unfortunately, constantly referring to the Holocaust does nothing to highlight the centuries of injustice perpetrated against the Mizrahi Jews by the Arab umma.

  4. As far from ideal as the current Philadelphia Democratic City Committee is, I'm at least proud to say that its Chairman, and my US Congressman, Bob Brady, does not associate with, nor maintain an armed terror wing, within our Party. ;)

  5. For some reason the "reply" function does not seem to be working.

Anyways, even if Brady did it would be OK, because the non-technocratic wing of the party is not involved in decision making.

    1. "We didn't post that racist, genocidal image on our Facebook page... our terrorist wing did!" probably won't rank in the history books as one of the all-time best defenses against criticism...

    2. (And my reply button is working fine. I'll consider pretending to sit down to talk to you about fixing it, if you'll first release 10,000 terrorists!)

  6. I wonder what Jimmy Carter calls himself. In his view:

    ////////////////////////////////
"Hamas cannot be wished away, nor will it cooperate in its own demise," Carter writes, along with Mary Robinson, in a Foreign Policy op-ed Tuesday. "Only by recognizing its legitimacy as a political actor — one that represents a substantial portion of the Palestinian people — can the West begin to provide the right incentives for Hamas to lay down its weapons."
    ////////////////////////////////

I know what I call him - a worthless sumbitch.
