Robbery at the Walgreens

Michael Lumish

Yesterday Laurie and I were in our local Walgreens in Oakland, CA when it was robbed by three young black men wearing black hoodies. I had never been in a store that was being loudly robbed before.

They were mainly, for some reason, cleaning out the women's cosmetics aisle.
The leader of the pack tried to intimidate the customers by making a racket so loud and violent that everyone would know that they were there and would be too scared to intervene.
This happened just as I was checking out.
I told the clerk to call the cops and keep the change. She looked at me with the dead eyes of indifference.
We saw the guys run cross the street with their pathetic booty as we walked to the car.
This kind of thing is now acceptable because, ya know, Black Lives Matter.

  1. Read Caroline Glick’s “Justice Shall You Purdue”. Link at Elder’s.

You know, I sat on a jury in Oakland having to do with some youthful shananigan’s allegedly committed by some black ‘youths’, your honor. The reasoning on the mostly white jury in that case was astonishing to me at the time but fits in so neatly into the present climate of BLM. Myself and three others ultimately voted for acquittal because we thought the prosecution had failed to meet the threshold of beyond a reasonable doubt. The other 9 jurors were from Wokeland, CA. Black = innocent and screw the facts.

  2. I've got some people telling me that there is no likely connection between BLM and the robbery in Oakland that I witnessed. In other words, what I am essentially being told is that a year of BLM/Antifa looting has nothing to do with looting in Oakland. How's that for ideological blinkertude?

    1. I think there is a connection much larger in orders of magnitude between the event you witnessed, and the nonchalant reaction, with BLM’s jive race hustling vs. the name Palestine and the Arabs now claiming that as their long lost indigenous homeland stolen from them.

But then again, I don’t speak for our wannabe overlords at google nor for that matter for the fake Office of President Elect. Quick, fill that cabinet with shills, oops, I mean “trusted, experienced colleagues,” it’s already November! LOL

    2. A fool sees what zir wants to see. Ask them just what sorts of wonderful events BLM is connected to.

    3. I can't even believe this nonsense. Why cannot the Left admit to the fact of all of those riots and lootings and arsons and attacks on Federal buildings and dragging people out of cars and beating them senseless and on and on and on. Instead they're like, "Riots? What riots? Ya mean the Proud Boys. The White Supremacists?"

It's sickening in its obvious delusion.

    4. There’s a history to this. The left could never acknowledge that JFK’s brains were blown apart by a man of the left. For decades they have tried to blame it on one right wing conspiracy after anotther. So, they have had much success pointing the finger as well as deflection, and presenting themselves as the voice of a great, humane morality.

    5. They need to have their faces rubbed in it. Who is up for the job? I think we fall hesitant. Because we were raised true believers, we default to giving the benefit of the doubt to our tribesmen.

    6. Jeff, did you say that we were FB friends? If not, you should send me a friend request and, no, to be honest, I do not recall your last name. (Jeez, now I feel guilty!)

  4. Ultimately, BLM has only increased racial tensions and set back hard won gains earned over the decades. I mean, why should I even try if I am irredeemable because I'm white? Fuck that noise.

It also means that someone (politically/ideologically) is trying to sow this discord. And that kind of manipulation can never be a good thing.
