End the Occupation of the Jews in the Middle East

Mike L.

{Cross-Posted at Geoffff's Joint and Pro-Israel Bay Bloggers.}

I know that this is a radical notion, particularly in the violent Arab-Muslim Middle East, but I recommend that the majority non-Jewish population in that part of the world, both the governments and the people, cease trying to murder the Jews and end their theocratically-based occupation of the Jewish people.

I do not see anyone else recommending this obvious solution to what Harvard Professor, Ruth Wisse, calls the Arab war against the Jews, but I thought that I might put it forward.  The Middle East is a vast area.  It's huge.  Within it is the majority Arab-Muslim population that constitutes something close to 400 million people.  A much smaller population is the Christian population, but they are leaving the area, an area that largely belonged to Christians for many centuries, because of religious hatred toward them.  Certainly the Copts in Egypt are among the most abused population in that part of the world and they are departing because of chronic abuse by the majority Muslim population.

The Jews, of course, are another matter.  We used to be spread throughout the region, but after we established Jewish autonomy on Jewish land in the State of Israel our rather intolerant Arab-Muslim cousins booted us out of our homes in places like Egypt and Iraq and Lebanon and thereby compelled Jewish aliyah to Israel shortly after the re-founding of our national homeland.

The truth is that the tiny minority of Jews in the Middle East have been under Arab-Muslim imperial domination for thirteen of the last fourteen centuries.  (That's a very long time, by the way.)  Throughout the first thirteen of those centuries we were largely something akin to slaves within the Muslim colonial system of dhimmitude.  We were abused as second and third-class citizens by a people who held us in theological contempt, and although dhimmitude varied in its degree of malice from time to time and place to place, we never had it better than Black people did under the system of Jim Crow in the United States.  Malice toward Jews is hard-coded in the Koran and, in fact, is stressed in the opening sentences of that particular book.

What I say is that it should stop.

I understand that ending violent, genocidal Arab-Muslim hatred toward Jews is inconceivable for most people, particularly western "progressives" many of whom honestly believe that the Jews richly deserve whatever beating we get, but I request that you consider it.  It does not take that much of a stretch of the imagination to consider the possibility that maybe, finally, the Jews do not really deserve the never-ending aggression toward us.

Think of it this way:

The Jews are a tiny minority amongst a much larger, generally hostile, majority population who have within living memory come through the slaughter of one-third our number in Europe, in part because the Arabs did not want us to escape from Europe to Palestine.   After thirteen centuries of perpetual abuse the Jews of the Middle East gained their freedom because the allies defeated Germany and the imperial Ottoman Empire in World War I and because us Jews, ourselves, fought for our own freedom within our historical homeland.

Once the Jews of the Middle East secured their freedom, and the defeat of dhimmitude, the larger Arab-Muslim majority in the region declared war upon us and that war continues to this day.  The stages of the Long Arab War Against the Jews in the Middle East are as follows:
Phase 1, 1920 - 1947: Riots and Massacres

Phase 2, November 1947 - April 1948: The Civil War in Palestine

Phase 3, 1948 - 1973: Conventional Warfare

Phase 4, 1964 - Present: The Terror War

Phase 5, 1975 - Present: The Delegitimization Effort
This war has resulted in the relative impoverishment of the Palestinian-Arabs who refuse to accept the fact that the Palestinian-Jews have, after 2,000 years, regained our national home.  If they would kindly reconcile themselves to the fact of the State of Israel they could go about making their lives better for themselves, their children, and their grandchildren and would be gratefully accepted by the Jewish population within Israel.

The western left, including G-d Knows how many western Jews, tend to believe that the reason that Arabs throw rocks at Jews is because the Jews have been mean to the Arabs.  This is false.  Arabs throw rocks at Jews out of Koranically-based race hatred toward the Jewish people, just as they have always done, combined with an intense bigoted resentment toward the fact of Jewish sovereignty on Jewish land.  This is why the Palestinian-Jews have placed check-points and a security barrier between themselves and much of the Palestinian-Arab population.  What the Arabs call the "occupation" is merely Jewish measures of self-defense and nothing else.

We are free now and we intend to stay free.

The Day of the Dhimmi is Done and when the greater Arab-Muslim majority accepts this fact then the long Arab War Against the Jews of the Middle East will end and the lives of the Palestinian-Arabs will greatly improve.

I say, give it a shot.  If Barack Obama did not encourage otherwise, the United States and the west could promote Arab liberality toward us.

The Arab acceptance of Jewish sovereignty on Jewish land is the only possible hope for peace, after all.

Until that day comes the Palestinian-Arabs will continue to ruin themselves and they will do so at the encouragement of their own leaders and at the encouragement of their cruel fellows in the greater Arab-Muslim world.

  1. "Regime change," at dKos?

"Way to go, Courtesy Kos. Mazl tov.

I wonder if - and I hope - that the word will get out that there's been a regime change and a broader group of Kossacks will begin to feel comfortable participating in I/P diaries.

IOW....most pro-I's are gone. It's safe for the haters, especially the asaJews to get back in the water.

Spread the word Naiman. Invite Mondoshits et all too.

    1. That guy's got a history of ugliness, too, both there and at HuffPo. Much more so at the latter, however. I didn't realize that brave anti-Israel warrior was hiding from us at the former for all that time, however. Heh.

Anyway, yeah. Perhaps now that there's nobody left to complain, they can even reinstate Professor ZOG (simone daud) and all of his other little Nazi buddies back to the site. I actually hope they do take that final half-step necessary toward complete irrelevance.

    2. Hey, me too Jay. Let all the haters back in and then some. I have always said I hope the day comes when the world can see that that swamp is a swamp inhabited by hateful idiots for the greater part.

    3. Btw? "Regime change?" Lol, yeah... now that Fanatical Zionist Gatekeeper Meteor Blades is gone from running things, the True Progressives(tm) can come back and play!

      Lol, again. Endlessly...

    4. (It's like crossing over into the Twilight Zone, isn't it?)

    5. Oh MB is actually commenting in I/P lately. Guess which side he is on? lol

    6. I haven't taken a peek at DailyKKKos /tag/israel for a long time. They just recycle their—for want of a better word—discussions, so there's nothing new to see. I once said DKos is a useful barometer as to what is acceptable on the mainstream left, so you could take it to mean Open Season on Jewish self-determination is approaching. If former Kossacks who are now "refugees" in Mound o' Scheiss are granted a "Right of Return," I'll be able to declare the complete mainstreaming of Progressive anti-Zionism.

An interesting exchange further down: JNREBEL says, "Israel is not an apartheid state." Response by Corvo: "Israel isn't, but the Israeli-occupied West Bank, on the other hand . . ." Jimmy Carter's going to sue for copyright violation there, Corvo! But you know why I really find this interesting? Because this evasion will only hold true as long as there's the goal of ethnically cleansing the post-1967 Israel of all Jews; should this mission be accomplished, you'll get to see the quick migration of the apartheid accusation to the remnant pre-1967 Jewish State. You can bank on it.

Speaking of ethnic cleansing: Further down on /tag/israel, there's a diary (by "Obamalover20122") with the title, "Can Ethnic Cleansing Be Justified?" I can answer that: Apparently it can, on DKos and other places where humanitarian racism is welcome, as long as it's Jews who are to be on the receiving end of it. Then it's not only justified, it's a noble act without which peace in the Middle East, and therefore in the world (funny how no other local conflict gets blown into a global one this way), is impossible.

    7. The conversation over there has clearly deteriorated.

It was always miserable, but now it's just complete garbage.

Just take a gander at Eternal Dope's latest toxic and facile nonsense.

    8. It seems once a year or so, that jackass crawls out from under his rock and posts a dozen or so such similar screeds over the course of a few days. By the end of that week, he finally begins accruing a few troll ratings, and then seems to have a sense of exactly when to stop before getting into any 'trouble,' so he can do it all over again a year or so later. Of course, if he were doing the same thing from a pro-I perspective he would have been banned years ago.

I think I recall he actually did four or five of those diaries over just one day, and about twelve total that week, the one time he popped up during my year in A-I at that site.

Maybe that's how he spends his vacation.

  2. WASHINGTON (JTA) — The chairman of the US House of Representatives subcommittee on human rights convened a hearing on anti-Semitism, saying it is worsening, especially in Europe.
The hearing, called by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), will take place Wednesday.
“It is getting demonstrably worse all over the world, but especially Europe,” Smith, who also co-chairs the US Helsinki Commission, the congressional body monitoring human rights, told JTA. “The Middle East is a cauldron of anti-Semitic hate, but much of that hatred is spilling out through the Muslim Diaspora and through satellite television.”

  3. And here it goes again.

"Palestinian terrorists broke a three month ceasefire on Tuesday and fired a rocket from Gaza into southern Israel. The rocket fell on a road south of Ashkelon causing some damage to a road, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

Al- Aqsa Martyrs Brigades took resonsibilty for the attack, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported. The terrorists fired a Grad rocket in response to the "liquidation" of the prisoner Jaradat, Ma'an reported.

Btw, check out the tone of this Reuters article. 'Solidarity,' 'Palestinian frustration fuelled by Israel,' etc. Biased much, guys?

Even though the NYT quotes a terrorist press release and sympathetically notes Palestinian whining about border crossings into Israel being shut down in the immediate aftermath of an act of war upon itself by a hostile neighbor ("well, duh", as my daughter would say), at least they blamed the Gaza terrorists for breaking the cease-fire. Though I'm amazed they didn't call the border closing a 'provocation' or something like that. I suppose there's still time (and other news outlets)...

  4. ***** END OF THE OCCUPATION *****

In 1995, Rabin withdrew Israel’s forces from the cities in Judea-Samaria, where 98% of the Palestinians reside. Ariel Sharon later [in year 2005] withdrew from all of Gaza.

The Israeli occupation of the Palestinians came to an end. The only “occupation” of the Palestinians currently in force is the 23-year occupation by the Palestinian Authority and the occupation of Gaza by Hamas, which is now entering its 11th year.

The Palestinians’ schools are run by Palestinian principals and teachers. The courts have Palestinian judges. The streets are policed by the Palestinian police and security forces. When elections are held, the candidates and the voters are all Palestinians.

Pretty much the only thing that the Palestinian Authority can’t do is import tanks, planes, Iranian “volunteers” or North Korean missiles.

The only time Israeli troops enter Palestinian areas is when they are chasing terrorists. Going into some Palestinian town for an hour or two to catch a bomb-thrower or a sniper hardly constitutes an “occupation” of the Palestinians.
