Volleyboy1: Moron or Slave? (Updated)

The slavish Volleyboy1 has claimed that certain kinds of American Jews should leave the United States and move to Israel.

In a Daily Kos blogpost entitled American Jewish Voters and term "Israel Firsters" he writes:

Now, if one is a Republican to begin with... Dynamite vote for your party. But make your vote based on American priorities. After all, you are an American. If you want to vote for Israeli determined priorities, Kol HaKavod, move to Israel.

Who the hell is this... person... to tell anyone where they should live?

Update:

Maybe we should call this "Occupy the Progressive Zionist."

I mean, really, the idiot that owns that blog believes that he can march onto my blog, spit bullshit and poison at my friends, and expect no blow-back?

Really?

Fuck those guys.

They have no heart or soul and stand for nothing.

Their advocacy is weak because they have no real conviction.

The reason that they have no real conviction is because they mainly believe the Palestinian narrative, which Volleyboy suggested should be taught in Israeli schools.

[What a Fucking idiot.}

  1. He posted the same at his own site, the "progressive" one.

    And there was also this:

Now here is where I get controversial. I would say that if this is one's point of view, that the voter who feels this way is living in the wrong country. While one would certainly have the right to vote any way they want, why would this voter bother living here instead of in Israel? I would challenge anyone who feels this way to answer that question. If a narrow P.O.V. as determined by Im Tirtzu or the Israeli Right is what you vote for in American elections then you live in the wrong place.

I think the words and intent were quite clear.

  2. It's obvious that Volleyboy1 wants to tell Jewish people where it is appropriate for us to live.

I find that to be rather fucked up, actually.

    1. As a good American, he also tells them that they should leave because they do not meet his perverted standards.

Not to mention that he calls out all bigots. That is, except himself, a perfect illustration of hypocrisy.

  3. The chutzpah is just astounding... as is the lack of ideological coherence.

    What an idiot.

It did not need to be this way, but he made it this way when he marched onto this blog and started demeaning others.

    We simply should not allow.

We can disagree without being disagreeable, perhaps over a beer soon.

  4. Well, you did call him out, but I am amazed at the thinness of his skin and his inability to engage without disparagement.

And when he reads this comment, as he will, I challenge him to show one instance when I have been bigoted, unlike him who perfectly fits the definition of a bigot according to Webster's.

  5. "Scum" is not appropriate. Do not get into the gutter. It invalidates the argument.

There is no doubt, to me, that he is misguided and one who likes to demonize.

I suggest walking on a higher path.

  6. You are beneath contempt.

Volleyboy1 honestly believes that he has the right to tell Jews where they should live.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Our people suffered centuries of individuals such as yourself.

  7. I said your standards are perverted. You always admonish others to read the words. Why are you above your own directives?

You have called me a bigot, a liar, and much more. I see your latest post that is replete in disparagement of anyone that might question Obama. To me, you DO idolize him, and I find the bias, indeed the zealotry in your partisanship makes your advocacy suspect.

I support Obama, but I know how not to support him as well. You call the latter derangement. So who are you to lecture others?

Again, I challenge you to provide even one instance where I have been bigoted.

You taunt people for being keyboard warriors, which is defined as follows:

A Person who, being unable to express his anger through physical violence (owning to their physical weakness, lack of bravery and/or conviction in real life), instead manifests said emotions through the text-based medium of the internet, usually in the form of aggressive writing that the Keyboard Warrior would not (for reasons previously mentioned) be able to give form to in real life.

Like with bigotry, you fit the above definition to a tee. It's just another illustration of hypocrisy.

  8. You are contemptuous and you refuse to actually engage in the issues.

"Vile" is the word that comes immediately to mind.

You believe, along with Mahmoud Abbas, that Jews should only live where you want them to.

    Do you deny it, scum?

If you want to vote for Israeli determined priorities, Kol HaKavod, move to Israel.

    Fuck you, Volleyboy1.

You represent the worst of us.

  9. Please, all of you, stop this shit. There are people who really hate us because we are Jews, and we are Zionists, and you guys want to go after each other?

    Stop this shit.

    1. Hi Paul, thanks for dropping by.

Y'know, Volleyboy1 has suggested that Israeli school children should be taught the "Palestinian narrative."

      Do you agree?

For myself I find the notion to be pure stupidity.

      What do you think?

    2. Which one of us has a doctorate in history?

    3. Indeed, but y'know, what that means is that I know how to do historiography. That is, I understand methods in the field. It doesn't necessarily mean that I know more facts of any given people's history than anyone else, particularly outside of mid-twentieth century American cultural and intellectual history, which is what I wrote on.

But, yes, the so-called "Palestinian narrative" of pure victimhood contains an awful lot of fiction.

For example, the notion that Plan Dalet was designed specifically to ethnic cleanse the local Arabs is fiction.

    4. Historiography is just what I'm talking about (I think...it's a big word). What I mean is, how we teach history evolves over time. Look at American history. How many people realize that the Spanish were poking around in the southwest as early as 1500, more than 100 years before the Mayflower brought the Puritans over from England? Yet I grew up learning American history from the English perspective, so to speak. And very little about how the influx of Europeans impacted the Native Americans. Actually, nothing about it at all. And I went to a very good school, one of the best in the country.

Yeah, we both know that at least 80% of the Palestinian "narrative" is total bullshit, and the remaining 20% is pretty much gross distortions of fact. That doesn't mean there isn't something to be gained by considering events from their perspective. And it doesn't mean that Israeli schools should adopt the Palestinian "narrative" as gospel truth.

    5. That's fair enough, Paul.

I would say that it is important for pro-Israel activists, or just people, to understand the "Palestinian narrative." As long as we are going to be discussing I-P in political venues than its crucial that we have a good idea of that narrative.

I don't think that it's appropriate for high school students, tho, in history departments.

Literature and poli-sci, maybe, but not history.

    6. Don't underestimate the abilities of high school students. Kids are often smarter than their parents.

And I'll say this, too. If there is ever going to be peace between Israelis and Palestinians, each side needs to acknowledge that the other side sees things very differently than they do.

    7. Look at high school teachers like teacherken at dKos and just figure what those kids are gonna hear. It's gonna have a bias and that bias isn't gonna be good for Israel. That's a guarantee.

Peace is sooooooooo far off, Paul. It just is, unfortunately. Generations of brainwashing to undo. It won't ever be easy.

    8. Paul,

I don't know that I underestimate high school students, but the fact of the matter is that no normal healthy people teach their own children enemy propaganda as history.

      Who would do that?

As I say, it might make sense in the fields of literature or political science, but how it would fit into a high school history course is unclear.

I suppose that it could as an aside... but only as something to be debunked.

  10. Volleyboy should admit that he suggested that the "Palestinian narrative" should be taught in Israeli high schools.

I know that he did and he knows that he did, so he should just admit it.
