Brief Notes: Victim Status
One thing that I want to make clear is that in my opinion the Jewish people are not victims. We do not have victim status. We do not claim victim status. We do not want victim status. The Jews are not victims. We were at one time, and for a long time, but we are not any longer.
I say this, of course, very well understanding that victim status is a highly prized commodity on the western left and no one is more highly regarded as "victim" than the Palestinian people. The Palestinians are portrayed, and portray themselves, as the foremost victims in today’s political landscape.
I have to hand it to them. It is no mean feat convincing people that after 13 centuries of Jewish second and third class citizenship under the boot of Arab imperialism (dhimmitude), and after almost 100 years of Palestinian and Arab genocidal war against us, that we are their oppressors.
Now that is brilliant work. It has to be the single most profound example of political prestidigitation and propaganda in modern, if not world, history. This Big Lie has succeeded so well that even many Jews believe it, but it only works if you discount Jewish history in the Middle East. And it only works if you ignore the fact that the Palestinians refused offer after offer for statehood.
The truth is that the Palestinians are the victims of their own aggression and their own theologically inspired racism against us... we children of apes and pigs. In November of 1947, directly after the Holocaust, the Arabs of the British mandate (the people whose grandchildren would would later call themselves "Palestinians") launched a genocidal civil war against us and got beat. As a result of that war many of the local Arab population were driven out of the area, just as Jews were driven from Arab lands.
The difference is that Jews refused to make other Jews victims. The Jewish state of Israel took in those Jewish refugees, while the Arab states kept the Palestinians in camps and denied them citizenship.
And, so, the Palestinians remain victims.
They are victims.
They are not victims of the Jews, but victims of their own racist aggression against us and victims of their fellow Arabs.
Sad, but true.
