3,000 homes beyond Green Line okayed

Mike L.
Less than 24 hours after General Assembly recognizes Palestine as non-member state, government's top nine ministers respond by approving construction of new housing units in Jerusalem, West Bank. Canada says will review its whole relationship with Palestinian Authority
In addition, the planning procedures of thousands of additional housing units in Jerusalem and the settlement blocs will be furthered, including in the segment connecting Ma'ale Adumim with Jerusalem, known as the E1 project.
State officials said Israel was considering further moves in response to the United Nations General Assembly's recognition of Palestine as an observer state.
One of the biggest mistakes that we've made as a people was in legitimizing Palestinian and Arab anti-Jewish racism through agreeing that Jewish Israelis should not be allowed to live, and thus build, in Judea and Samaria.

And, yet again, this was mainly a problem that came out of the Jewish left.  Barack Obama could never have made such a big stink about the so-called "settlers" if his Jewish friends and advisers had not given him the green light by agreeing with dictator Abbas that it was OK for Jews to live here, but not over there.

There is absolutely no reason in this world why Jews should not be allowed to live, and thus build, in Judea.  Now, of course, if the Palestinians actually did have a state on that land then they could enact whatever racist laws that make them happy.  But since they don't, they can't.

They could have had a state, but they threw every single opportunity into the toilet going back to the Peel Commission of 1937.

Tis a shame, I suppose... maybe.

  1. I cannot believe that they have waited till now but an excellent response to the UN.

They should build till their hearts content.

  2. Now that "Palestine" is an independent state, Israel needs to grant it full independence.

That is, Israel should cease providing the newly independent state of "Palestine" with tax money and electricity and the whole variety of other services that it provides to the PA at Israel's expense.

These are not children. "Palestine" needs to be able to stand up on its own two feet like the full grown criminal-terrorist enterprise that it is.

    1. Concur. That's what I was trying to get across the other day in that other thread, though I may have failed.

Let them stand on their own now. Israel can still provide them with these things, but they'd better start paying for it just as any other state would.

    2. And again, I'd say it's also now on them to deal with their neighbors and the issue of the so-called 'refugees' in those countries (where they are actually subject to real apartheid conditions). Congratulations, guys. Now youze have a 'state' of your own, and a place for your so-called 'refugees' to return to, even though those 'refugees' are actually Jordanians or Lebanese, etc etc. Hash that out with them now, that's all on youze.

      Isn't it?

    3. I just wish to G-d that Israel would declare its final borders and be done with it.

Naturally those borders will include Jerusalem in its entirety, the major settlement blocs near the green line, and whatever land is necessary to maintain Israeli security.

Whatever's left can be "Palestine" and, yes, they will need to be entirely responsible for the themselves. Or, at the very least, Israel should not be responsible for any of the services that governments normally provide for their people.

If the United States and the EU wishes to continue funding this little criminal-terrorist statelet that is up to them, but from Israel they should receive nothing.

Sometime in the future, if the Palestinians can bring themselves to refraining from trying to kill Jews, perhaps there can be some trade between Israel and the criminal-terrorist statelet, but not until they prove the ability to restrain their most genocidal impulses.
